The new for 2022 Rebor Saurophaganax models feature in an Everything Dinosaur customer newsletter. All three colour versions of the Rebor Saurophaganax “Notorious Big” 1:35 scale models are in stock (Badlands, Jungle and Volcanic Cavern).
Rebor Saurophaganax maximus Notorious Big!
The three Saurophaganax models are the first dinosaur models to be released by Rebor in 2022. Each model measures over 41 cm in length and has an articulated lower jaw, flexible tail and moveable arms. Some customers have reported difficulties fitting the tail to the model, Everything Dinosaur has passed on helpful information and provided advice.
To assist the tail to slot home, dip the white tail plug into a cup of boiling water for 2-3 seconds. The heat will make the plastic more malleable and allow the tail to be inserted. Please take care when handling hot water.
The Rebor Saurophaganax in the “Volcanic Cavern” colour variant is the first model featured in the Everything Dinosaur newsletter.
Rebor Saurophaganax Models “Jungle” and “Badlands” Colour Variants
The newsletter also features the other two colour variants, the “Jungle” version and “Badlands”. All three figures have proved to be extremely popular amongst model collectors and dinosaur fans.
Originally named and described in 1941 as Saurophagus maximus by the American palaeontologist John Willis Stovall, the genus name was already occupied and in a review of the fossil material published as a short paper in 1995 Daniel J. Chure erected the genus Saurophaganax. This theropod is regarded as one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs described to date from fossils associated with Jurassic strata.

The five recently introduced Schleich prehistoric animal figures are featured in the latest Everything Dinosaur customer newsletter. There are four new dinosaurs – Styracosaurus, Majungasaurus, Amargasaurus and Parasaurolophus, plus Schleich have added a model of the fearsome marine reptile Nothosaurus. All these figures are now in stock, further increasing customer choice when it comes to Everything Dinosaur toys and dinosaur models.
Many factories have had problems with production over the last two years due to the impact of the global pandemic on logistics and manufacturing. It is great news to see five new Schleich prehistoric animals.
Schleich Styracosaurus
The first new figure to feature in the Everything Dinosaur newsletter is the Styracosaurus, an updated replica of the Styracosaurus figure that was introduced by the German manufacturer nine years ago, but then retired in 2016. The hand-painted Schleich Styracosaurus dinosaur model measures a fraction under twenty centimetres in length and it has been praised by many dinosaur fans and model collectors for its attractive colouration and detailed skin texture.
Schleich may have produced replicas representing Carnotaurus in the past, in addition, they have made many replicas of sauropods too, but this is the first time that an Amargasaurus and a Majungasaurus have been included in the Schleich product portfolio. The Majungasaurus colouration has been commented upon by collectors. It has been suggested that the paint scheme chosen is reminiscent of the artwork for the “Dinosaur King” animated Majungasaurus from the Japanese computer game.
Schleich Parasaurolophus and Schleich Nothosaurus
The other two models to feature in Everything Dinosaur’s newsletter are the Schleich Parasaurolophus and the replica of the Triassic marine reptile Nothosaurus. Schleich have made models representing Parasaurolophus in the past, they have also added replicas of marine reptiles such as Mosasaurus and Plesiosaurus to their model range, but this is the first time that a Nothosaurus figure has been introduced.
To view the range of Schleich prehistoric animal figures and models available from Everything Dinosaur: Schleich Models and Figures.
A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“It is wonderful to be able to discuss new figures and models, after all, global manufacturing has been hit hard over the last two years or so. It is pleasing to see Schleich adding five new prehistoric animal models to their range. Our customer newsletter helps to inform model collectors and dinosaur fans about new product introductions. We hope that the information we supply assists them and keeps them up to date with product development.”

The last of the new for 2021 CollectA prehistoric animal figures that are due to arrive this year (2021) have featured in the latest Everything Dinosaur customer newsletter. In addition, team members had the opportunity to include the new Mojo Fun Smilodon figure, the only prehistoric animal model to be introduced by Mojo in the last 12 months and one that is proving to be very popular.
The first model to be shown in the newsletter is the CollectA Deluxe Dilophosaurus, a replica of this Early Jurassic carnivore in approximately 1:40 scale.
The figure has been based on some of the very latest scientific research into Dilophosaurus wetherilli that took place over the last two years or so.
Introducing More Models of Sea Monsters
CollectA has been praised for developing such a diverse range of prehistoric animal figures. For example, the company has recently added two more sea monsters, inhabitants of the Western Interior Seaway during the Late Cretaceous, the long-necked Elasmosaurus and the ferocious prehistoric fish with a reputation for gluttony – Xiphactinus.
Pravitoceras and a New Glyptodont Scale Model
The Everything Dinosaur customer newsletter also includes the new CollectA ammonite replica (Pravitoceras) and the 1:20 scale replica of Doedicurus, complete with its heavily armoured tail club.
CollectA’s model sets are very popular, especially with younger dinosaur fans or with model makers who want to depict juvenile animals in a prehistoric diorama. CollectA have added a new set of mini models (set 3), for 2021. This set contains 10 figures, 8 dinosaurs, a pterosaur (Guidraco) and a marine reptile (Pliosaurus).
Please note, whilst the package labelling states that there is a mini Diplodocus within the set, this is a printing error. The Diplodocus figure can be found in set 1, whilst set 3 contains a Mapusaurus model which is not mentioned on the product sleeve.
Team members at Everything Dinosaur used our latest customer newsletter to showcase the Mojo Fun Smilodon, a new sculpt and one that has received high praise from model collectors.

In Stock After Product Testing
As a responsible importer and supplier of prehistoric animal replicas, Everything Dinosaur took responsibility for obtaining a sample and then getting this product tested by an independent testing company (Eurofins). Once the test report had come back, Everything Dinosaur was able to legally import these excellent dinosaur models from China into the company’s UK warehouse. Customer safety is at the heart of the company’s business philosophy, once the test reports had been published and team members were able to adopt the report’s recommendations, the Dino Hazard Irritator challengeri stock could be brought into the UK.
Dino Hazard Irritator challengeri
The Irritator challengeri figure is the first dinosaur model to be made under the Dino Hazard brand by YvY Figures. The project had originally been set up as a crowdfunded operation. A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“We do appreciate how difficult setting up production has been in this current economic climate. We were able to work with the manufacturer and bring in a quantity of the available stock into our warehouse. By doing this, this stunning 1:20 scale figure will be available to many more collectors and dinosaur model enthusiasts”.

The Everything Dinosaur customer newsletter is sent out periodically to newsletter subscribers. It is free and allows customers to be updated about new products, receive offers, take part in exclusive competitions and to be informed about product development.
Measuring around 37 cm in length and supplied with an optional display base and a model of a prehistoric lungfish, typical of the sort of prey this large theropod hunted, the arrival of the Dino Hazard Irritator challengeri figure has been greeted very enthusiastically by fans of prehistoric animal models.
The latest Everything Dinosaur customer newsletter features new models from Rebor. The two Museum Class Maquettes Monty Resurgent and Brian Diccus have arrived and the first of the “Retrosaurs”- Californiacation and Mesozoic Rhapsody are in stock. In addition, the next pair of the Rebor GrabNGo tyrannosaurs are also available.
Rebor Titanoboa Figures
After the successful introduction of the limited edition “Monty” replica last year, Rebor have followed this up by producing two 1:11 scale replicas of the head of the giant prehistoric snake Titanoboa (T. cerrejonensis) swallowing a crocodile. Titanoboa is the largest snake known to science. Size estimates vary, but based on the fossilised vertebrae a length of between 12 and 15 metres has been proposed and this huge Palaeocene reptile might have weighed around 1,400 kilograms.
The two Rebor Titanoboa figures are in stock at Everything Dinosaur, Monty Resurgent with the brown crocodile prey and Brian Diccus, with its darker colour scheme and green crocodilian.
Rebor Retrosaurs
Last year, Rebor announced plans to produce a new range of vintage dinosaur collectables. The objective was to create classic dinosaur figures honouring prehistoric animals in movies from the 20th century. The first of the figures in this exciting range are now in stock. The Rebor 1:35 scale 80s T-REX Toy HD Remastered “Californiacation” and the Rebor 1:35 scale vintage palaeoart T. rex “Mesozoic Rhapsody”, both models feature in the latest Everything Dinosaur newsletter.
Film fans and vintage model collectors have been contacting Everything Dinosaur team members about these two new figures for some time, they are proving to be very popular.
The Everything Dinosaur customer newsletter provides helpful information to model collectors and dinosaur fans as well as free to enter competitions and contests. To subscribe to Everything Dinosaur’s newsletter, simply: Contact Everything Dinosaur.
The Latest Rebor GrabNGo T. rex Models
Our latest newsletter also provided the opportunity to announce the arrival of the latest Rebor GrabNGo T. rex dinosaur models. The new pair of figures are the Rebor GNG04 1:35 scale SA T. rex Type C and the Rebor GNG05 1:35 scale SA T. rex Type D. These models are at a lower pricing point than the majority of the Rebor range, helping to extend the Rebor product offering to a wider audience.
Subscribers to Everything Dinosaur’s customer newsletter were tipped off about stock of rare Rebor prehistoric animal figures and replicas. Limited edition and special production runs of several Rebor figures had been organised and once the current stock had sold, many of these items would not be available again.
Rare Rebor Models
For example, the science fiction/fantasy Rebor Oddities Specimen: G-2016 embryo in resinite has been limited to a single production run and only 500 of these amazing replicas have been made.
Rebor Oddities Specimen: G-2016 Embryos
The Everything Dinosaur newsletter also featured the G-2016 Embryo in epoxide and the G-2016 Embryo in bakelite. Like the resinite figure, only 500 of each of these replicas have been produced and newsletter subscribers were given the opportunity to snap up a figure before they sold out.
A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“These Rebor G-2016 figures are beautifully crafted science fiction replicas with engraved text and science fiction symbols and they would be a highlight in any model collection. We have had lots of sales in Asia, but we wanted to hold a few back so we could offer these limited edition figures to our newsletter subscribers.”
Compsognathus longipes Dissection Figures
Rebor has built a deserved reputation for their innovative and unusual figures. As well as introducing the embryos, Rebor commissioned a special production run of life-size Compsognathus dissection specimens. Two versions were produced, one of them being the limited edition, highly stylised “Victorian Goth” specimen. Only 500 of these figures have been made, the vast majority of these were pre-sold, however, Everything Dinosaur has held a small number in reserve so we could offer these figures to our subscribers.
Rebor Abelisaurid Dinosaurs
Rebor is best known for their dinosaur models. Team members thought that they could not feature Rebor without at least drawing attention to a couple of dinosaurs and with the arrival this week of the abelisaurid pair Carnotaurus and Ekrixinatosaurus it seemed fitting to include these 1:35 scale replicas in our newsletter offering. The Rebor Carnotaurus rex “Crimson King Requiem” is a reference to the apex predator position held in southern hemisphere Late Cretaceous palaeoenvironments by members of the Abelisauridae, including Carnotaurus sastrei. The 1:35 scale model of Ekrixinatosaurus (E. novasi) represents another South American abelisaurid. Named and described in 2004, palaeontologists are uncertain as to the size of this “bruiser”. The skull was disproportionately large and this dinosaur was particularly robust – very helpful if you coexisted with Giganotosaurus, one of the largest theropod dinosaurs known to science.

PNSO Prehistoric Animals Feature in Everything Dinosaur Newsletter
The latest Everything Dinosaur newsletter features the exciting new for 2021 editions to the popular PNSO prehistoric animal model range. In total, seven recently arrived figures are featured, six dinosaurs and a replica of the bizarre Chinese, herbivorous marine reptile known as Atopodentatus (Zewail the Atopodentatus). Headlining our latest newsletter is the excellent Essien the Spinosaurus, which is not to be confused with the much larger 1:35 scale Spinosaurus replica also called Essien, within the PNSO model range.

A Pair of Duck-billed Dinosaurs
A pair of duck-billed dinosaurs also feature in the latest Everything Dinosaur customer newsletter. Both dinosaurs are members of the Lambeosaurinae, they belong to the crested hadrosaurs group. This sub-family may have been named after Lambeosaurus, but ironically, Corythosaurus represented by the model named Caroline, was named and scientifically described earlier than Lambeosaurus (represented by the model entitled Audrey). Corythosaurus was named and described in 1914, whilst Lambeosaurus was formally described in 1923.

Atopodentatus and Tuojiangosaurus Models
The customer newsletter also features the PNSO Atopodentatus and the stunning stegosaur figure Tuojiangosaurus. Both these prehistoric animals are synonymous with China. Fossils of the bizarre Middle Triassic marine reptile Atopodentatus come from Yunnan Province, whereas fossils of the Late Jurassic Tuojiangosaurus have been found in Sichuan province that borders Yunnan to the north.

Ornithischians – Borealopelta and Pachyrhinosaurus
The last of the seven new prehistoric animal figures to be featured are both members of the bird-hipped group (Ornithischia), however, they are only distantly related. Brian the Pachyrhinosaurus is one of several new horned dinosaur models expected in stock at Everything Dinosaur this year, whilst the beautiful Borealopelta is an armoured dinosaur that roamed what is now known as Canada, some 44 million years before the likes of Pachyrhinosaurus wandered across North America.

Everything Dinosaur team members get asked at this time of year to recommend Christmas gifts, one of the best-selling items at the moment is the 2020 Papo gift box which features the Papo Gorgosaurus and the bone-headed dinosaur Stygimoloch. Gift boxes are popular in November and December, so it seemed sensible to feature this item in our latest newsletter. Fans of the Rebor X-REX series, the alien/Tyrannosaurus rex hybrid will not be disappointed with the second figure in this line, the fearsome X-REX Swarm (plague variant).

Rebor “Bites the Dust” and Oddities Fossil Studies Skulls
Everything Dinosaur despatched a special newsletter to its subscribers earlier this month announcing the arrival of the two T. rex carcasses in the Rebor “Bites the Dust” model line. In addition, the newsletter announced that pre-orders were being taken for the exciting Rebor Oddities Fossil Studies Skulls (Wave 1). All three, beautiful theropod skulls, Yutyrannus huali, Ceratosaurus dentisulcatus and Carnotaurus sastrei were available to pre-order from Everything Dinosaur at very special prices.
The offers don’t just stop there, the newsletter included a special offer on the duo of dead dinosaurs too!

Rebor “Bites the Dust” T. rex Didn’t Always Win!
The Rebor “Bites the Dust” figures are available in two colour schemes. Firstly, there is a brown dominated model called “plain”, there is a second model “jungle” with more of a greenish hue. These carefully constructed carcasses are in 1:35 scale and reflect the fact that tyrannosaurs like most predatory dinosaurs had very tough, short lives.
Most dinosaurs did not make it to adulthood and for tyrannosaurs such as T. rex, life at the top of the food chain was particularly hard. It was a question of kill or be killed, not only did these theropods have to battle horned dinosaurs and hadrosaurs, they also had to contend with attacks from their own kind as well. The fossil record provides evidence of tyrannosaurs biting other tyrannosaurs, for example, in 2010, a paper was published in PLOS One entitled “Cannibalism in Tyrannosaurus rex”. The eminent authors, Longrich, Horner, Erickson and Currie identified four T. rex specimens that preserved potential T. rex bites on their bones.
The Two T. rex Bites the Dust Carcass Models (Plain and Jungle)
The scientists concluded that Tyrannosaurus rex routinely hunting full-grown members of its own species was unlikely, however, it is possible that intraspecific combat led to casualties, with the dead becoming a convenient source of food for the victorious T. rex. These figures show bite marks from another very large predator, since T. rex is the only enormous terrestrial carnivore known from the latest Upper Cretaceous deposits of North America, it can be inferred that these two Rebor models show the result of an intraspecific combat.
Rebor Oddities Fossil Studies Skulls
The newsletter also provided subscribers with details of the forthcoming Rebor Oddities Fossil Studies skulls, a set of three amazing theropod skulls, namely, C. sastrei, Y. huali and C. dentisulcatus. These museum quality replicas are available to pre-order from Everything Dinosaur.
The Rebor Ceratosaurus dentisulcatus and Yutyrannus huali Fossil Skulls
The three fossil skulls, regarded as the first wave in an intended series of skull models are likely to be in stock at Everything Dinosaur in November (2020). Customers have the opportunity to pre-order the replicas and to take advantage of a special offer to purchase all three Rebor Oddities Fossil Studies models.

New Papo Models Feature in an Everything Dinosaur Newsletter
New Papo models feature in the Everything Dinosaur early September newsletter including the controversial Papo Giganotosaurus dinosaur model. The Papo Giganotosaurus is very well made and distinctly Papo, however, its anatomically inaccurate stance and unusual body proportions have led to criticism from some prehistoric animal model collectors. This substantial dinosaur model has certainly divided opinions. Some collectors might regard it as a throwback to much earlier dinosaur sculpts but there is no denying the quality of the finish and the excellent detailing, especially those carefully created skin folds and scales.

Papo Chilesaurus and the New Colour Variant Papo Parasaurolophus
Such has been the excitement and controversy over the introduction of the Papo Giganotosaurus dinosaur model, that the other recently introduced Papo models have been somewhat overlooked by dinosaur model fans and collectors. However, Everything Dinosaur team members were eager to make amends and include the Papo Chilesaurus and the new colour variant of the Papo Parasaurolophus model in the company’s newsletter too.

A Popular Postosuchus and a Rare Bullyland Ichthyosaur
Everything Dinosaur had received a number of enquiries about the popular, recently introduced Schleich Postosuchus figure. More stock of this replica of a Late Triassic predator had recently arrived and team members were keen to communicate this information to our subscribers. In addition, there were just a few of the very rare and now out of production Bullyland Ichthyosaurus models still available.
This Ichthyosaurus figure had been officially retired around seven years ago, it was first omitted from the Bullyland brochure back in 2013. We know how collectors like to acquire rare models, so we included a mention of the Bullyland Ichthyosaurus in our newsletter, helping our customers to avoid paying exorbitant prices for the same figure on auction sites.
