New Papo Edmontosaurus Model in Stock

By |2026-01-25T17:14:00+00:00January 23rd, 2026|Categories: Papo Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

Everything Dinosaur stocks the new Papo Edmontosaurus model.  It is the first new Papo figure to arrive this year (2026).  Papo is a popular range with prehistoric animal model collectors.  The Edmontosaurus is beautiful, it is a fantastic colour scheme.

The Papo “Les Dinosaures” range includes several duck-billed dinosaurs. For example, Corythosaurus and Parasaurolophus.  Papo has added a row of spines running down from the back of the head down to the tip of the tail.  The mouth is open and the design team have added lots of detail.

The model measures over twenty-four centimetres long.  Papo does not declare a scale for their figures.  Moreover, it is difficult to determine how big this herbivore was.  However, the absence of a head crest suggests that this model could represent E. annectens. The largest individuals of this species could reach a length of thirteen metres. If a conservative twelve metre size is considered, then a model around twenty-four centimetres long would be in 1:50 scale.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur comments:

“The Papo Edmontosaurus model is a beautiful figure.  It has an expressive face, and the painting scheme is carefully applied.  This saurolophine is likely to be extremely popular with dinosaur model fans.”

News of Papo Model Retirements for 2026

By |2026-01-09T14:58:44+00:00January 9th, 2026|Categories: Papo Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

At the start of the year, manufacturers review their inventories and production plans. Papo is no exception.  This French model manufacturer is busy making plans.  To this end, they have announced several Papo prehistoric animal model retirements.  Six figures are out of production and retired:

  • Plesiosaurus (model number 55021)
  • Carnotaurus (model number 55032)
  • Blue Oviraptor (model number 55059)
  • Therizinosaurus (model number 55069
  • Brown running T. rex (model number 55075)
  • Giganotosaurus (model number 55083)

Papo Prehistoric Animal Model Retirements

Of the six figures, the Papo Plesiosaurus and Papo Carnotaurus are the oldest.  For example, the Papo Carnotaurus was introduced in 2013. The blue Oviraptor figure came out in 2017.  It replaced a much older, brown version.  In a similar vein, the brown running Tyrannosaurus rex was launched in 2019, it was a new colour version of an older running T. rex figure. The Papo Therizinosaurus model was introduced in 2019.  It has proved to be a popular model.  The most recently introduced figure to be retired this year is the Papo Giganotosaurus.  It was launched in 2020.

The Papo Giganotosaurus figure attracts controversy. The choice of pose by the designers divides collectors. The pose does not reflect the posture attributed to a theropod dinosaur. However, many collectors find the “hugging posture” endearing.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur comments:

“Whilst we are genuinely sad to see these six Papo prehistoric animal models go out of production, they have enjoyed long and very successful runs and remain popular with collectors. At the same time, these retirements free up valuable production capacity, giving Papo the opportunity to focus on creating exciting new figures. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this much-loved range.”

The New Papo Corythosaurus Dinosaur Model is in Stock

By |2025-03-19T10:31:07+00:00March 18th, 2025|Categories: Papo Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

The new Papo Corythosaurus dinosaur model is in stock at Everything Dinosaur.  It is great to see a new replica of a lambeosaurine dinosaur.  When it comes to hadrosaurs, model collectors have several Saurolophinae subfamily members to choose from.  Notably, Maiasaura and Edmontosaurus.  Indeed, the Lambeosaurinae subfamily is represented in model collections by the likes of Parasaurolophus and Lambeosaurus.  However, the flamboyant Corythosaurus has been somewhat neglected over the years.  Safari Ltd had a Corythosaurus in their Carnegie Collectibles line and PNSO introduced a Corythosaurus figure in 2020. The new Papo Corythosaurus is a most welcome new addition.

Sue from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“We have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this new Papo dinosaur figure.  Corythosaurus is an iconic member of the Ornithischia.  Most books about dinosaurs feature “helmet lizard”.  Our thanks to Papo for adding a Corythosaurus to their range.”

The Papo Corythosaurus Dinosaur Model

The Papo Corythosaurus measures around twenty centimetres in length.  It is the second lambeosaurine dinosaur model to be made by Papo.  A Parasaurolophus model was one of the first plant-eating dinosaur figures to be introduced.  The figure has been painted in a variety of brown and tan colours.  There is a single row of prominent scutes running from the back of the neck to halfway down the tail.  The Corythosaurus is depicted as a quadruped.

The skin texture shows some amazing detail.  Our congratulations to the design team they have replicated what is known about Corythosaurus skin texture from the fossil record.  It is a typical Papo figure.  The Corythosaurus typifies Papo’s unique take on the Dinosauria.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur stated:

“Papo figures are popular with young dinosaur fans.  This Papo Corythosaurus is ideal for robust, creative play.  We are sure this engaging dinosaur figure will prove to be a favourite amongst young fans of Papo figures.”

Mike from Everything Dinosaur has been busy preparing some images of the new for 2025 Papo Suchomimus dinosaur model.  This exciting new theropod model is expected in stock soon.  As soon as the model arrives at the company’s warehouse, team members will get busy contacting customers.  This new Papo dinosaur model has attracted a lot of interest. Sue and Mike first saw the prototype of this Papo dinosaur around two years ago.  There is not long to wait now until the new model is in stock.

News of Papo Dinosaur Model Retirements for 2025

By |2025-01-31T09:37:27+00:00January 31st, 2025|Categories: Papo Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

Everything Dinosaur can confirm the Papo dinosaur model retirements for 2025.  In total, four dinosaur figures are being retired from the famous “Les Dinosaures” model range.  The figures are three theropods and one horned dinosaur model.

We have listed the four Papo figures below, along with their year of introduction.

  • Cryolophosaurus (2017).
  • Dilophosaurus (2014).
  • Concavenator (2023).
  • Pentaceratops (2019).

New Papo models are due into stock at Everything Dinosaur shortly.  For example, the Corythosaurus and the eagerly awaited Suchomimus models should be in stock in a few weeks.

Papo Dinosaur Model Retirements

Everything Dinosaur team members do their best to update dinosaur model collectors.  It can be helpful to be alerted about model retirements.  In doing so, collectors can make sure they pick up any figures they want before they become unobtainable.  New Papo figures, the Suchomimus and Corythosaurus figures will be in stock soon.  Models due to come out in 2025 such as the new feathered T. rex figure will be available later in the year.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“It is always a little bit sad to announce model retirements.  However, by retiring models, manufacturers make room for new additions to their range.  Personally, I will be saddened to see the Papo Pentaceratops go.  It is a beautiful figure of a rearing horned dinosaur.”

Papo Dilophosaurus

The Papo Dilophosaurus figure is being retired after more than ten years. In contrast the controversial Concavenator figure is being withdrawn only two years since it was introduced.  Mike explained that a turnover of figures was natural for a manufacturer.  Given the production pressures companies could not continue to grow their ranges indefinitely.

He added:

“Even with these Papo dinosaur model retirements, the Papo range will still consist of over forty figures by the end of the year.”

By |2024-11-27T06:13:21+00:00November 26th, 2024|Categories: Papo Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

The new for late 2024 Papo Ampelosaurus dinosaur model is now in stock at Everything Dinosaur.  Dinosaur fans and model collectors have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this new figure.  Team members have been busy contacting all those customers who wanted to be informed of this dinosaur’s arrival.  Mike from Everything Dinosaur confirmed that all those customers who had requested a model had now been contacted.

The Papo Ampelosaurus Dinosaur Model

The Papo Ampelosaurus joins a Brachiosaurus, young Apatosaurus and an Amargasaurus in the Papo “Les Dinosaures” range.  Indeed, the last sauropod model to be added to the Papo range was the Amargasaurus.  It was introduced in 2018.  The new Ampelosaurus is a typical Papo figure.  It has that certain Papo “je ne sais quoi”, extremely apt for a French manufacturer.

The model measures an impressive forty-three centimetres in length.  It stands approximately sixteen centimetres tall.

Papo Ampelosaurus dinosaur model.

The Papo Ampelosaurus dinosaur model.

Ampelosaurus was formally named and described in 1995 (Le Loeuff).  It is regarded as a member of the Titanosauria clade. Ampelosaurus fossils have been found in France. Other material from Spain previously ascribed to Ampelosaurus is now thought to represent a different titanosaur taxon. It lived at the end of the Cretaceous (Early Maastrichtian faunal stage).  Size estimates vary.  However, palaeontologist Gregory S. Paul estimated that this dinosaur grew to around sixteen metres in length.  He thought this dinosaur would have weighed around eight tonnes. Papo do not declare a scale for this figure.  Notwithstanding this, if the model measures forty-three centimetres long, then this would represent a 1:37 scale figure.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“We had wanted to get this figure into stock before the end of the year.  There had been a lot of requests to reserve a model.  Moreover, many of these requests came from our French customers. I guess, they wanted to get their hands on a model of an iconic French dinosaur.”
