New Haolonggood Acrocanthosaurus Models

These new theropod figures have been eagerly awaited by collectors.  Essentially, they are the same sculpt but with a different colour scheme.

Everything Dinosaur announces that the two new Haolonggood Acrocanthosaurus models (Dong Ping and Zhang Qing) will be in stock next week.  Both the brown Acrocanthosaurus (Dong Ping) and the green figure (Zhang Qing) are expected to arrive on a shipment due into the warehouse next Monday (9th of March).

Each model measures nearly thirty centimetres in length.  In addition, each figure has an articulated lower jaw.

Two Haolonggood Acrocanthosaurus Models

The two figures are essentially the same sculpt.  However, they have different colour schemes.  When they arrive, we will be busy informing customers and theropod model fans.

Haolonggood introduces three, new for 2026 sauropod figures.  To celebrate the Spring Festival there will be three special-edition Dreadnoughtus figures.  Each model will be supplied with two juvenile Dreadnoughtus figures (running and standing).  Each juvenile model supplied will be in the same colour scheme as the adult figure with which they are supplied. The adult dinosaur models will measure seventy centimetres long and stand twenty-two centimetres tall.

These are special-edition figures.  The models do not have official names. Furthermore, the initial painting mock-ups are the only references available.  However, we can confirm that each model will be supplied with two juvenile Dreadnoughtus models in the same colour scheme as the adult.

Expected in the Summer

There is only a limited time to reserve a figure.  Haolonggood have requested that all orders for these special-edition figures be placed at the factory by the 14th of February (2026).  The models are not in production, it is likely that production will take place in the spring. Therefore, we anticipate these three Haolonggood Dreadnoughtus models coming into stock at Everything Dinosaur in the summer (2026).

Three Haolonggood Sauroposeidon Models

Each Haolonggood Sauroposeidon model measures fifty-one centimetres high.  They are beautifully detailed sauropod figures. It is ironic that a model tree will be supplied with the initial production run, as when the fossilised bones were first discovered they were so big, they were thought to represent petrified wood.  This Early Cretaceous sauropod from North America is known from several fragmentary but partially articulated fossils.  Size estimates vary, but it has been suggested that this dinosaur could weigh more than forty tonnes.

The genus name translates as “Earthquake Lizard God”, a reference to its huge size and the Greek god Poseidon. Furthermore, it is the state dinosaur of Texas.

The HLG 185c Sauroposeidon Heterochromatic version rearing up to reach the top of the tree. Each Sauroposeidon figure stands 51 cm tall.

It was initially thought to be a brachiosaurid and closely related to Giraffatitan and Brachiosaurus. However, more recent analysis suggests it was more closely related to titanosaurs. It was scientifically described by Wedel, Cifelli and Sanders (2000). One species is currently recognised – Sauroposeidon proteles.  Sauroposeidon was one of the last known sauropods from the Early Cretaceous of North America.  Sauropods seemed to have become extinct in North America for some forty million years until their reappearance in the United States fossil record with Upper Cretaceous remains assigned to Alamosaurus.

Sauropods could have remained in America, the lack of fossil evidence could be explained by a sampling bias or an absence of exposed surface strata that preserve remains. In the original scientific paper, the authors pointed out that the demise of sauropods from North America predates the radiation of flowering plants.  The extinction (if any) could not be as a result of the evolution of angiosperms.

This batch of Haolonggood Sauroposeidon model will be supplied with a sixty-centimetre-high tree model, two pterosaur figures and a full-colour Sauroposeidon poster.

The Haolonggood Bronze Triceratops – A Limited-edition Collectable Figure

New Haolonggood Dinosaur Figures

All four sets of figures have a declared scale of 1:35. The Shantungosaurus packaging reflects the size of this enormous duck-billed dinosaur.  Each Shantungosaurus model measures around forty centimetres in length.  Shantungosaurus is one of the largest ornithischian dinosaurs known.  Size estimates vary, but some specimens on display in China measure over fourteen metres long! The size of the Shantungosaurus becomes apparent when the box is compared to the Brontosaurus packaging.

Two New Haolonggood Brontosaurus Figures

These new Haolonggood Brontosaurus models are the latest, large sauropod figures to be introduced by Haolonggood.  Recently, Haolonggood have introduced Alamosaurus, Argentinosaurus and Brachiosaurus replicas.  As with previous sauropod models, the two Brontosaurus models will be supplied with a display base.

The two Brontosaurus figures are:

• Haolonggood Brontosaurus Xie Ying Deng (brown colour version).
• Haolonggood Brontosaurus Du Weng Zhong (grey colour version).

Two Display Bases

The batch of Brontosaurus figures coming into Everything Dinosaur will be supplied complete with a display base.  Each base has been skilfully painted.  In addition, the base has a replica of a prehistoric plant incorporated within it.  From the images that Haolonggood have supplied, it looks like a small cycad.

Each of the Haolonggood Brontosaurus figures is supplied with a beautiful display base.

The head of each figure is over eighteen centimetres off the ground.  When the model is placed on a display base the figure will stand over twenty centimetres high.

“Brontosaurus is from the Late Jurassic of the United States.  Named and described by Othniel Charles Marsh in 1879, the holotype specimen of B. excelsus is on display at the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale University.”

Our chums at Haolonggood have announced that they will be introducing three Giganotosaurus figures.  The Haolonggood Giganotosaurus models will be in stock at Everything Dinosaur before the end of the year.  Each figure measures thirty-five centimetres in length.  Those beautiful nasal crests are some eleven centimetres off the ground.

New Haolonggood Giganotosaurus Models

Each figure is the same sculpt.  Furthermore, each figure will have an articulated lower jaw. It is the paint schemes that vary.  To help collectors, we have included images of all three Haolonggood Giganotosaurus figures in this article.

The three models are:

• HLG-162 Giganotosaurus Guan Sheng.
• HLG-163 Giganotosaurus Lin Chong.
• In addition, the Giganotosaurus Special Colour Version (HLG-165).

We suspect that the HLG-165 figure will only be available for a limited period.

A Special Colour Version of Giganotosaurus

Haolonggood usually produce a pair of figures. However, they intend to introduce a trio of Giganotosaurus models.  HLG-165 is the special colour version of Giganotosaurus carolinii.

The third Haolonggood Giganotosaurus figure to be featured in this article is HLG-165.  This is the special colour version.  At this time, we are not sure whether HLG-165 will be produced again.  Haolonggood tends to produce special editions, but these are only available for a limited time.
