Beautiful Haolonggood Utahceratops Figures

By |2025-02-26T13:47:26+00:00February 19th, 2025|Haolonggood Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

Everything Dinosaur is expecting the two new Haolonggood Utahceratops figures to arrive next month (March 2025).  They are in the same shipment as the two new Haolonggood Styracosaurus models. In addition, the Brachiosaurus, Majungasaurus and the Concavenator models are also expected.  A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur confirmed that as soon as the dinosaur models had been checked into stock, customers on waitlists will be emailed.

He added:

“We are looking forward to receiving this shipment, especially the ceratopsians.  Haolonggood have added several horned dinosaurs to their model range.  These figures have proved to be extremely popular with collectors.  We even have had academics and palaeontologists asking after them.”

The Haolonggood Utahceratops Figures

There are two colour variants.  Firstly, the brown Utahceratops known as Gong Wang.  The other Utahceratops has a green colouration.  It has been named Ding De Sun.  Both models measure seventeen centimetres long and have a frill height of ten centimetres. Moreover, they have a declared scale of 1:35.

Utahceratops (U. gettyi) fossils come from the Kaiparowits Formation (Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah). It is regarded as a basal member of the Chasmosaurinae subfamily of the Ceratopsidae. Utahceratops was formally named and described in 2010 (Sampson et al).

The genus names honours the state of Utah. The species name is a tribute to the late Mike Getty who discovered the holotype UMNH VP 16784. Mike also made a significant contribution to the plotting of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and the excavation of the relatively abundant vertebrate fossils associated with this area.

Beautiful Markings

The two new Utahceratops figures have been beautifully painted.  The large neck frills show amazing detail.  The design team at Haolonggood are to be congratulated for their attention to detail and for the flamboyant markings on the neck frills.

The spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur continued:

“The frills are particularly impressive.  They are covered in a variety of different sized scales.  The intricate paint scheme gives each figure two large blue spots on the frill.  The two Utahceratops figures with their colourful frills and flashes of blue remind me of the eyespots seen on peacock tail feathers.”

New Haolonggood Concavenator Figures Coming into Stock Soon

By |2025-02-20T12:21:36+00:00February 6th, 2025|Haolonggood Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

The two, new for 2025 Haolonggood Concavenator figures are due to be in stock at Everything Dinosaur shortly. These models are in 1:35 scale.  These stunning figures are part of a shipment of Haolonggood models due to arrive at the Everything Dinosaur warehouse next month (March 2025).  A spokesperson from the UK-based mail order company confirmed that both colour variants would be available.

The New for 2025 Haolonggood Concavenator Figures

These two, new theropods are the same sculpt.  However, two colour variants are offered.  The green and yellow variant is named Li Li.  It has bright red humps. In contrast, the darker coloured figure (Li Yun) has orange flashes on its humps.  This feature is in keeping with the orange colouration of the model’s tail.

Each figure measures sixteen and half centimetres long.  The head height of each model is a little over seven centimetres.

Concavenator corcovatus

Concavenator corcovatus is known from the Early Cretaceous of Spain. It was scientifically described in 2010 (Ortega et al). This theropod has been assigned to the Carcharodontosauria clade and is estimated to have been about six metres in length. It was described from a single, partially complete and articulated fossil specimen (MCCM-LH 6666).

The elongated neural spines indicated the presence of a sail-like structure over the hips. It is not known what function this feature played. However, it is thought to have been primarily used for visual display. This idea is reinforced by the two Haolonggood Concavenator figures. Both models have brightly coloured humps.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented that these new theropod figures were on the same shipment as some other new Haolonggood figures.  The Styracosaurus, Utahceratops and Majungasaurus models were all due to arrive in the same container as the Concavenators.

New for 2025 Haolonggood Majungasaurus Models

By |2024-12-27T14:35:33+00:00December 15th, 2024|Haolonggood Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

Haolonggood have announced that they will introduce a pair of abelisaurid dinosaur models (Majungasaurus).  The Haolonggood Majungasaurus models are essentially the same sculpt.  However, they will have contrasting colour schemes.  Both figures have a declared scale of 1:35. The Majungasaurus figure known as Ou Peng is mainly tan coloured but with a blue tail flourish.  In contrast, Deng Fei is darker coloured and predominantly a greyish blue colour.

Two Majungasaurus models from Haolonggood.

Two, new for 2025 Majungasaurus models from Haolonggood. The model known as Ou Peng is left, whilst the model known as Deng Fei is on the right.

Each model measures twenty-two centimetres in length. They are just under five and half centimetres tall.

Haolonggood Majungasaurus Models

Majungasaurus lived at the end of the Cretaceous (Maastrichtian faunal stage). Its fossils are known from north-western Madagascar. Much of the skeleton has been described, including the skull. However, the end of the tail, pelvis and most of the forelimb is unknown. The forelimbs were reduced, almost vestigial. It very probably had four small digits on each hand (as seen in related abelisaurids).

Body size estimates vary. However, isolated fossil bones indicate that this dinosaur might have reached a length of around nine metres. It was the apex predator in the ecosystem.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur welcomed the introduction of the two Haolonggood Majungasaurus models and stated:

“It is great to see Haolonggood creating figures of some of the more unusual and intriguing Late Cretaceous theropods such as Majungasaurus.

New Haolonggood Horned Dinosaur Models in Stock

By |2024-12-12T18:00:45+00:00December 12th, 2024|Haolonggood Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

Four new for 2024 Haolonggood horned dinosaur models are now in stock at Everything Dinosaur. The Triceratops and Xenoceratops figures have arrived.  Team members have been busy contacting all those customers who wanted to be alerted when these dinosaur figures arrived.  Both the Xenoceratops and Triceratops figures are in 1:35 scale.  However, they represent different subfamilies of the Ceratopsia.  For instance, Xenoceratops is a centrosaurine, whilst Triceratops is a member of the Chasmosaurinae subfamily.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur exclaimed:

“We might struggle to pronounce the Chinese names of these new ornithischians, but we are delighted to see them arrive in stock.  Customers have been keen to acquire these models, and we have made sure that everyone who wanted to be alerted has been informed.  These are four wonderful dinosaur figures.”

Haolonggood Horned Dinosaur Models

Although these horned dinosaur models have the same declared scale, the Triceratops models are larger.  The Triceratops taxon represents one of the largest horned dinosaurs known to science.  Moreover, Triceratops lived several million years after Xenoceratops became extinct.  The smaller Xenoceratops is geologically older than the Triceratops taxon.  Xenoceratops (X. foremostensis) is known from the middle Campanian.  It roamed Alberta (Canada) approximately seventy-eight million years ago.  In contrast, Triceratops is known from the very last few million years of the Cretaceous (Maastrichtian faunal stage).

Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented that Haolonggood had introduced several beautiful horned dinosaur models in recent months.  New figures include Chasmosaurus, Diabloceratops, Kosmoceratops, Sinoceratops and Pentaceratops. In addition, Haolonggood have also added Nasutoceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus figures.

He added:

“Such a lot of horned dinosaur figures from Haolonggood. Our congratulations to the design team.”

The two Spinosaurus models are essentially the same sculpt.  However, there are two different colour schemes.  The model named Lv Yi is predominantly green.  In contrast, the figure known as Chen Feng has a reddish hue. Fittingly, these are large models. Each Spinosaurus measures around forty centimetres in length. That magnificent sail is around thirteen centimetres off the ground.  These figures have a declared scale of 1:35. Perhaps, Haolonggood will one day make a 1:35 scale replica of Tyrannosaurus rex.

New Haolonggood Argentinosaurus Models

By |2024-10-11T08:18:09+01:00October 11th, 2024|Haolonggood Prehistoric Animal Models|0 Comments

So, the news about the introduction of the Haolonggood Argentinosaurus models has broken.  These are amazing figures, and they are big and when we say big, we really mean huge.  Each model measures around eight-five centimetres in length.  The head height is fifty centimetres.  In imperial measurements, these enormous models are over thirty-three inches long with a head height of nearly twenty inches.  These most certainly are impressive replicas of Argentinosaurus huinculensis!

Haolonggood sent us an image of their current sauropod models.  We added the annotation so, you can see how big the Argentinosaurus model is.

The Haolonggood Argentinosaurus Models

Four models are planned.  They are the same sculpt but different colour schemes.

  • HLG-129 (predominately grey)
  • HLG-130 (predominately brown)
  • HLG-131 (predominately green)
  • 001 – limited-edition figure (purple hue)

These figures will be supplied with a complimentary 1:35 scale Huayangosaurus, playing/collector cards and 5 posters.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“These models are stunning!  However, they are extremely large, collectors will have to make quite a bit of space on their shelves to accommodate one of these sauropod figures.”

The box dimensions are approximately 98 x 44 x 21 cm. We estimate shipping weight will be about 9 kilos. However, the volumetric weight prices charged by the shipping/delivery companies are going to make shipping expensive.  Our advice is to be careful when buying direct from China. Shipping costs are likely to be high and cartons of this size may attract additional duties and taxes.

Good news for UK customers is that shipping would be £7.99 GBP (we think).  As for our global customers, we can send this model out to collectors around the world including the USA and Europe.  Customers in Europe can relax, our parcels are sent out delivery duty paid and there will be no extra VAT due.

Each of the first batch of Haolonggood Argentinosaurus models will be supplied with a free Huayangosaurus figure.  In addition, there are playing/collector cards and five posters included.

The Camarasaurus Genus

Fossils of this sauropod are known from the Morrison Formation of the western United States. An enormous amount of Camarasaurus fossil material has been found. It is regarded as the most abundant sauropod known to date from the Morrison.  Its fossils are associated with a number of Morrison Formation members.

The Camarasaurus genus currently contains four valid species. Camarasaurus lentus, Camarasaurus grandis, Camarasaurus lewisi and the type species Camarasaurus supremus. The largest species and geologically the youngest is C. supremus. Palaeontologists have estimated that this plant-eating dinosaur measured over twenty metres in length. The fossils of Camarasaurus supremus are associated with the youngest member of the Morrison Formation – the Brushy Basin Member.

It was named and scientifically described by the American palaeontologist Edward Drinker Cope (1877). The scientific description of the Camarasaurus genus occurred at the height of the infamous “bone wars” between Cope and his bitter rival Othniel Charles Marsh.

Customers who purchase the Haolonggood Camarasaurus models will be sent a free Everything Dinosaur Camarasaurus fact sheet.

“These are two splendid models of horned dinosaurs. They look extremely detailed, and we can’t wait to bring them into stock.”

The Haolonggood Ceratopsian Figures

Haolonggood have introduced several different horned dinosaur figures.  They represent both chasmosaurines and members of the other subfamily of the Ceratopsia, the Centrosaurinae.

The Haolonggood horned dinosaur range includes:

  • Chasmosaurus (Zou Run and Zou Yuan).
