Visitors to the first ever DinoCon event in the UK have the opportunity to help Everything Dinosaur.  Mike and Sue from the UK-based mail order company will be there and they will be bringing their Everything Dinosaur Evolution prototype T. rex model. Visitors can see this remarkable figure.  In addition, they can vote in an on-going survey to decide which geological formation gets explored next. Mike and Sue will be in the vendors hall.  Their table is number 19 and they will be selling a wide range of prehistoric animal models and conducting the survey.  The choice of formations has been whittled down to a final five, where should the Everything Dinosaur Evolution brand go next?

Five Geological Formations to Choose From

Each formation is famous for a diverse range of prehistoric animals including many iconic dinosaurs.  In addition, the formations represent different times in the Mesozoic and different palaeoenvironments.

The formations are:

• Morrison Formation (Upper Jurassic) – a dinosaur biota consisting of Allosaurus spp. Dryosaurus altus, Camptosaurus dispar, sauropods, Ceratosaurus and Stegosaurus.
• Kem Kem Beds (Lower Cretaceous) – Carcharodontosaurus saharicus, crocodyliforms, Spinosaurus aegyptiacus, Rebbachisaurus garasbae, Deltadromeus agilis.
• The Hateg Basin (Upper Cretaceous) a unique prehistoric island biota with azhdarchid pterosaurs, Struthiosaurus transylvanicus, Balaur bondoc and dwarf titanosaurs.
• Wessex Formation (Lower Cretaceous) – Neovenator salerii, Polacanthus foxi, Eotyrannus lengi, hypsilophodonts, iguanodontids.
• Cedar Mountain (Lower Cretaceous) Falcarius utahensis, Utahraptor ostrommaysi, Moabosaurus utahensis along with ornithopods and armoured dinosaurs.

It’s Time to Unbox History

Today in Geneva, the United Nations meet to tackle plastic waste. While they debate, we act. Our plan is to package our range of scientifically accurate models without single-use plastic.  Indeed, we want to stop using all forms of rigid plastic packaging such as trays and inserts.  Our Tyrannosaurus rex comes in a fully compostable tray.  After all, history shouldn’t cost the Earth!

A Dinosaur with a Digital Product Passport

We’re also proud to launch what we believe is a world-first digital product passport for a dinosaur model, giving you details about design, science, and sustainability at your fingertips. A digital product passport (DPP) links a digital record to a physical, consumable product, detailing its lifecycle, manufacture, materials and environmental impact.  This technology is being rolled out across Europe.  Users will be able to access our dinosaur model’s DPP by scanning a smart QR code on the box.  In addition, a second smart QR code can be found on the collector card envelope inside the box.  The DPP provides transparency for customers. Furthermore, it supports the circular economy.  One day, all dinosaur models will require a digital product passport.

Great care and attention have been put into the design of the Everything Dinosaur Evolution T. rex packaging.

Both the Collector’s Edition and the Founder’s Edition are available to pre-order.  Dinosaur model fans are urged to pre-order as both versions will have limited availability.  For example, the Founder’s Edition consists of the very first models off the production line.  The total number of T. rex figures to be made will be limited by the production process.

EDE001 Design and Development

Bob Nicholls, renowned for his anatomical accuracy and artistic vision has played a pivotal role in EDE001 design and development.  Nobody has ever seen a living non-avian dinosaur.  It takes a special team with special skills to create an extinct animal such as a T. rex.  Thanks to Bob’s meticulous attention to detail, the first figure in this unique model series is a plausible reconstruction.

The Everything Dinosaur Evolution Hell Creek Formation figures represent a community of dinosaur models for the model collecting community. The aim is to create a set of four scientifically accurate scale models of Hell Creek Formation dinosaurs.  These dinosaurs were coeval.  They were contemporaneous.  These four dinosaurs lived in the same part of Laramidia during the same time (Late Cretaceous).  The Hell Creek Formation preserves a rich dinosaur dominated biota.

The four dinosaurs in the Hell Creek Formation series are:

• Tyrannosaurus rex
• Triceratops
• Edmontosaurus
• Anzu wyliei

The figures represent a community of prehistoric animals, and as such it makes sense to display these figures together.

A Community of Dinosaur Models (Hell Creek Formation)

The image above shows illustrations of these four dinosaur models.  The drawings were created by renowned palaeo-reconstruction artist Bob Nicholls.  Bob is part of the Everything Dinosaur Evolution team.

These four dinosaurs are linked together in the image.  They surround a small gold coloured hexagon that highlights that all these iconic dinosaurs are known from North America.  These are four dinosaur models made by model collectors for model collectors. The tagline in the image indicates that these figures are from one community to another.

The latest customer newsletter features the first Everything Dinosaur Evolution model.  The Tyrannosaurus rex figure (EDE001) is highlighted along with the design team behind this new range of prehistoric animal models.  An announcement was made earlier this week about Everything Dinosaur Evolution.  It is time to inform subscribers to the Everything Dinosaur newsletter.

The First Everything Dinosaur Evolution Model

The first four figures in this range represent dinosaurs from the iconic Hell Creek Formation.  An astonishing amount of work has gone into developing these figures.  They have been developed in the UK. Furthermore, they have been designed in the UK.  Since their formal launch (3rd of June 2025), they have sparked a great deal of interest from dinosaur fans and model collectors.
