The New for 2025 Mojo Fun Carnotaurus Dinosaur Model

By |2025-07-01T13:51:33+01:00June 30th, 2025|Categories: Mojo Fun and Prehistoric and Extinct Animals|0 Comments

The new for 2025 Mojo Fun Carnotaurus dinosaur model is in stock at Everything Dinosaur.  This is one of two prehistoric animal model introductions to be made by Mojo Fun this year.  The other model is a replica of the Jurassic plesiosaur Cryptoclidus.  Blue certainly seems to be the preferred motif this year for Mojo Fun.  Both the Carnotaurus and the Cryptoclidus are a striking blue in colour.

The Mojo Fun Carnotaurus Figure

The Carnotaurus (C. sastrei) replica is the only new dinosaur model to be introduced by Mojo Fun this year.  In addition, it is the only new theropod.  The model measures over twenty-two centimetres in length.  The height of this figure is around eight and a half centimetres.  The dorsal part of the model and the limbs are painted a vivid blue.  In contrast, the underside is painted a warm orange colour.

The Carnotaurus model has its head tilted down.  It is an interesting pose, and we congratulate the developers for this innovative design.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur stated:

“There are a lot of Carnotaurus figures available.  To differentiate their offering from other models Mojo Fun chose a bold colour scheme.  In addition, they gave their Carnotaurus figure an unusual pose.  I congratulate the company on their design decisions.”

The New for 2025 Mojo Fun Cryptoclidus Figure

By |2025-07-01T10:48:21+01:00June 25th, 2025|Categories: Mojo Fun and Prehistoric and Extinct Animals|0 Comments

The Mojo Fun Cryptoclidus model is now in stock at Everything Dinosaur.  This plesiosaur replica is one of two new prehistoric animal models being introduced this year (2025) by Mojo Fun.  It is a replica of a marine reptile that was first scientifically described back in 1871 (Professor J. Phillips).  A Cryptoclidus model is perhaps, long overdue.  After all, thanks to the many well-preserved specimens that have been found, this genus is featured in numerous museum exhibits all over the world.

The Mojo Fun Cryptoclidus Figure

This new Cryptoclidus model measures approximately twenty-two centimetres in length. The width across those broad front flippers is an impressive thirteen centimetres. This is an excellent Cryptoclidus (pronounced Krip-toe-kly-dus) figure.  The design team have included a tail fin.  It is likely that these marine reptiles had tail flukes.  Furthermore, it reflects the design team’s willingness to review the fossil evidence.

The colour scheme is striking.  The model has been painted a deep blue.  The pale underside provides counter shading.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“I remember seeing images of this marine reptile in children’s books about prehistoric animals.  These illustrations might have been inspired by the remarkable aerial view of a pair of Cryptoclidus painted by the highly influential Czech artist Zdeněk Burian.  Moreover, I welcome this new Cryptoclidus figure.  It will highlight this plesiosaur taxon to a new generation of model collectors.”

Two New Mojo Fun Prehistoric Animal Models for 2025

By |2025-02-15T21:46:48+00:00January 30th, 2025|Categories: Mojo Fun and Prehistoric and Extinct Animals|0 Comments

Mojo Fun will introduce two new prehistoric animal models this year (2025).  The company will introduce a model of the Late Cretaceous theropod from South America called Carnotaurus.  In addition, they will add a model of a plesiosaur (Cryptoclidus) to the range.  It seems that blue is the colour for 2025 according to Mojo Fun!  In 2024, no new Mojo Fun models were introduced.  It is wonderful to see a pair of new models for 2025.

New Mojo Fun Models

The Mojo Fun Carnotaurus has a remarkable pair of horns.  They are extremely prominent and give the model quite a formidable look.  The figure has been painted in a matt blue finish with a lighter underside.  The plesiosaur is also painted blue, but a much deeper hue.  The needle-like teeth at the front of the mouth are present as well as the large eyes. However, in our examination of Cryptoclidus skull material we thought the orbits were positioned more to towards the top of the head.  This notwithstanding it is a fine figure with great colouration and fantastic counter shading.  The diamond-shaped tail is a welcome addition.

It is pleasing to see Mojo Fun adding a Carnotaurus to their dinosaur collection. Furthermore, the Cryptoclidus model represents a plesiosaur that lived in the Middle Jurassic.  Most of the assigned fossil material comes from Oxford Clay deposits from Cambridgeshire.  The Cryptoclidus genus was erected in 1892 (Seeley). It is one of our favourite plesiosaurs.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur praised Mojo Fun for introducing new sculpts for 2025.

The Mojo Fun Brontotherium Model

This replica of a “thunder beast” measures around seventeen centimetres in length.  The Brontotherium name has fallen out of use. Following a review of American “thunder beast” fossil specimens Brontotherium has been assigned to the Megacerops taxon.  Setting aside the name discrepancy, this is an excellent figure. The Mojo Fun Brontotherium model captures the impressive size of this ancient creature. With detailed sculpting, it showcases realistic features, such as those impressive blade-like horns.

The model stands out with its sturdy build and carefully crafted skin texture. Children and collectors alike admire its lifelike appearance. Mojo Fun designs each figure with care and precision. The Brontotherium offers educational value, sparking curiosity about prehistoric life. Its dynamic pose suggests movement, bringing the model to life.

Made from quality materials, it withstands play and display. Parents appreciate its durability and safe design. The Brontotherium model encourages imaginative play and storytelling. It fits well in dioramas or as a standalone piece. Mojo Fun’s attention to detail enhances its appeal. This model serves as a fantastic gift, and it is an increasingly rare figure to find.

Overall, the Mojo Fun Brontotherium is a delightful addition to any collection. It invites exploration and learning about the fascinating world of ancient animals.
