Everything Dinosaur announces that the new Nanmu Studio Allosaurus models are coming into stock.  The UK-based mail order company with a global customer base, will stock Blade and Crooked Mouth Guy.  Each figure has twenty-one points of articulation.  Moreover, these models are part of the growing range of Nanmu Studio articulated models.  Other theropods already in the range include Carnotaurus and Tyrannosaurus rex.

Nanmu Studio Allosaurus Models

Each figure measures an impressive thirty-three centimetres in length.  The hip height is nine centimetres.  With twenty-one points of articulation these figures provide a huge variety of display options.

The jaw, neck, torso, limbs and the base of the tail are articulated.  We congratulate the design team; these are skilfully constructed dinosaur figures.

Inspired by a CGI Dinosaur Documentary

We think that the Allosaurus colouration and broken jaw concept has been inspired by “Dinosaur Revolution”.  This was a four-part, American documentary series that was first shown in 2011.  Episode two, entitled “The Watering Hole”, draws inspiration from fossil discoveries associated with the Upper Jurassic Lourinhã Formation of Portugal.  A juvenile Allosaurus is injured by a sauropod, and this episode focuses on how the predator copes with its broken jaw. Crocodilians can survive severe facial injuries such as broken jaws.  So long as they can still hunt and consume prey.  The documentary perhaps used this knowledge of extant archosaurs as the inspiration behind their Allosaurus.  Subsequently, the Allosaurus from the documentary inspires the Nanmu Studio Crooked Mouth Guy figure.

New Nanmu Studio saltwater crocodiles have been announced. A pair of articulated saltwater crocodile figures will be available in 2026.  Collectors and fans of Nanmu Studio can choose from the “Lord of Blood” or “The Omen King”.  The Nanmu Studio saltwater crocodiles have twenty-nine points of articulation.  Furthermore, the models measure around thirty-five centimetres long.  Based on an adult male saltwater crocodile measuring around five metres, we estimate a scale size of around 1:15.

These two crocodilians will be available late in quarter two or possibly quarter three.

Models of Crocodylus porosus are a departure for Nanmu Studio.  The company normally focuses on extinct animals or replicas of prehistoric animals that have featured in movies.  However, the world’s largest crocodilian would certainly be at home in a world dominated by dinosaurs.  The phylogeny of ancestral crocodilians that led to modern, extant genera (Neosuchia) is disputed. Ancestral forms may have been present in the Early Jurassic.

The range of the saltwater crocodile is extensive.  It has the largest geographical range of any living crocodile.  These reptiles range from Sri Lanka, along the India coastline, through south-eastern Asia, Papua New Guinea and to the northern coast of Australia.  It is extremely aggressive and attacks on people do occur.

Each figure has twenty-nine points of articulation. The two figures have different colour schemes.  The “Lord of Blood” figure for example, has a greenish tinge.  The colouration of saltwater crocodiles can vary considerably.  It seems logical to offer two figures with different colouration.

The Largest Living Reptile

The saltwater crocodile is at home in fresh, brackish and saltwater.  It is sometimes referred to as the estuarine crocodile.  Males are bigger than females and the largest captive specimens can reach lengths in excess of six metres.  Even larger individuals have been reported. It is the largest extant reptile.

The Berserker Empress Figure

The Berserker Empress has the classic colours of the movie monster.  Whereas the other figure has been given a set of attractive tiger stripes. The two articulated figures are on same shipment as the new, articulated Berserker raptors and the stunning Eternal Empress and Sovereign of Oath tyrannosaurs.

Two Nanmu Studio Therizinosaurus Models

Each figure measures thirty-three centimetres in length. However, when the curve of the tail is considered, the actual length is nearer forty-three centimetres. Each figure stands around nineteen centimetres tall. Everything Dinosaur supplies the Nanmu Studio Therizinosaurus Claw Spike figures with a Therizinosaurus fact sheet.

These theropod dinosaur models are reminiscent of the Therizinosaurus that appeared in the film “Jurassic World Dominion” from 2022.

The Nanmu Studio Berserker Queen articulated dinosaur figures are coming into stock at Everything Dinosaur. Two beautiful articulated dinosaur models.  Each figure has thirty points of articulation.  We suspect these models were inspired by the Indominus creature that appeared in the “Jurassic World” movie.  This film re-booted the “Jurassic Park” franchise.  It was released in 2015, and it was a huge commercial success.  Box office receipts were around $1.6 billion USD.

Nanmu Studio Berserker Queen Figures

These figures are stylised versions of Tyrannosaurus rex. Although for us, we can see the influence of the cinema in these models.  For example, these theropods have three digits on their hand. Collectors have two colour versions to choose from. There is the original colour version (see image above) and the Berserker Queen Tyrannosaurus rex Valkyrie Tiger Stripes colour version (see image below).

Nanmu Studio Shadow Blade

The Nanmu Studio shadow blade figure has darker tones compared to the companion figure (Tiger Blade).  The models stand around thirty-five centimetres high.  The hip height is approximately thirteen centimetres.

The Shadow Blade Velociraptor figure has twenty-three points of articulation. The model stands 35 cm tall with a hip height of 13 cm.

The Nanmu Studio articulated Velociraptor figures permit collectors to pose their dinosaur model in a variety of ways.

Nanmu Studio Tiger Blade

The Nanmu Studio Velociraptor called Tiger Blade has lighter colouration.  Running down the back, the tail and on the limbs are a series of dark stripes.  These stripes have been inspired by the extant tiger (Panthera tigris).

Everything Dinosaur can confirm that it is in discussion with the factory about the new Nanmu Studio Piercing Claw Therizinosaurus figures.  These are stunning replicas of a Therizinosaurus.  The models are reminiscent of the “Jurassic World Dominion” Therizinosaurus from the 2022 movie.  The models, if stocked by Everything Dinosaur will be available in a few months. Estimated around May/June 2025.

The two figures could represent a bonded pair.  One model could represent a male Therizinosaurus, the second model could be the female.

Nanmu Studio Piercing Claw Figures

There are two colour variants.  Model reference 172237 has an orange snout and lighter colouration.  Whilst model reference 172251 has a blue snout and has darker tones.  Each figure stands nineteen centimetres high, and the total curved length of each model is forty-three centimetres.

The Therizinosaurus figures are superbly painted.  Their lethal claws look fantastic. Although members of the Theropoda, it is thought that these Late Cretaceous dinosaurs were herbivores.  The Nanmu Studio Piercing Claw figures will be supplied with an Everything Dinosaur Therizinosaurus fact sheet.

Thank you to dinosaur model enthusiast Carl who sent into Everything Dinosaur some photographs of his recently acquired Nanmu Studio Giganotosaurus model.  The most recent Giganotosaurus figures were introduced by Nanmu Studio in 2023.  They replaced the earlier Giganotosaurus “Behemoth” replicas.  Everything Dinosaur supplies both Nanmu Studio Giganotosaurus figures (Gustav and Typhon) with display bases. Each of these figures is in approximately 1:35 scale.

The model is shown in lateral view.  Both “Gustav” and “Typhon” measure around forty-four centimetres in length. When on the display base, the model’s head height is around nineteen centimetres.  The image shows the figure in front of the model’s beautiful packaging.

Nanmu Studio Giganotosaurus Model

The Nanmu Studio Giganotosaurus model is supplied with an Everything Dinosaur Giganotosaurus fact sheet. Carl sent several photographs of his new acquisition.  Everything Dinosaur has shared some of these images on social media.  One of the images showed the Nanmu Studio Giganotosaurus compared with two Tyrannosaurus figures.
