By |2024-12-30T14:39:23+00:00May 7th, 2022|Categories: Adobe CS5, Dinosaur Fans, Everything Dinosaur Products, Main Page, Photos of Everything Dinosaur Products|0 Comments

Our congratulations to collector and model maker Hugh who sent into Everything Dinosaur a picture of the base that he had made for his recently acquired Nanmu Studio Brachiosaurus “Watchman” figure.

The recently introduced Nanmu Studio Jurassic Series Brachiosaurus figures are very impressive dinosaur models. With a head height of around 43 cm, these imposing sauropods tend to dominate collector’s display cabinets, Hugh has customised his model providing it with a unique, skilfully created base, complete with footprint impressions and vegetation.

The species Deinotherium giganteum, the type species, was erected in 1829 by the German naturalist Johann Jakob von Kaup. Caldey Draws a Beautiful Carnotaurus

By |2024-12-30T08:27:56+00:00April 22nd, 2022|Categories: Adobe CS5, Dinosaur and Prehistoric Animal Drawings, Dinosaur Fans, Everything Dinosaur Products, Main Page|0 Comments

Our thanks to young dinosaur fan and artist Caldey who sent into Everything Dinosaur a wonderful illustration of the South American abelisaurid Carnotaurus (C. sastrei). Caldey’s pencil drawing captures this large predator and shows plenty of fine detailing and different sized scales on the animal’s skin. If you look carefully, one of the bony horns on top of this dinosaur’s head, from which this animal was named (meat-eating bull), has been damaged. Scientists remain uncertain as to the function of these small horns, although they may have played a role in species recognition, asserted dominance or perhaps were involved in visual communication.

“Jurassic World Dominion”

Caldey was inspired to produce a Carnotaurus drawing by the forthcoming film “Jurassic World Dominion”, which is thought to be the last film in the “Jurassic Park/Jurassic World” movie franchise. The COVID-19 pandemic had delayed the release date for this eagerly anticipated film, it is now scheduled for global cinema release on June 10th (2022). The trailer for the film was released eight weeks ago and has already received over fifty million views on YouTube.

When viewing the image that Caldey had sent into us, it reminded team members of the recently introduced PNSO Carnotaurus figure “Domingo”.

We compared Caldey’s excellent drawing with one of the images we have in our database for the PNSO Domingo the Carnotaurus model.

Caldey was inspired by the Carnotaurus seen in a film, but we think the drawing is similar to the PNSO Carnotaurus model Domingo. Picture credit for the illustration: Caldey.

Beautiful CollectA Scale Models

By |2024-12-29T18:13:06+00:00April 13th, 2022|Categories: Adobe CS5, Dinosaur Fans, Everything Dinosaur News and Updates, Everything Dinosaur Products, Main Page, Photos of Everything Dinosaur Products, Press Releases|0 Comments

It is true that many dinosaur model suppliers have struggled to obtain stock. Factories have struggled with production issues and problems with global logistics have caused difficulties with both the sourcing of raw materials as well as the distribution of finished products.

Everything Dinosaur has been able to maintain stocks of CollectA replicas including many of the scale models of dinosaurs such as the CollectA Deluxe Iguanodon and the awesome CollectA Deluxe Mapusaurus.

CollectA Deluxe Mapusaurus and the CollectA Deluxe Iguanodon

The CollectA 1:40 scale Iguanodon and Mapusaurus dinosaur models.

A spokesperson from the UK-based mail order company stated that whilst trading conditions were difficult the team at CollectA had worked diligently to continue production and to develop new figures and models.

The spokesperson went onto add:

“Sourcing prehistoric animal models and figures has been extremely challenging over the last twelve months or so. We do not anticipate issues easing for at least another nine months, perhaps longer. However, we at Everything Dinosaur have been able to source figures and whilst some lines are currently out of stock, we do expect stock deliveries in the next few weeks to replenish our inventory.”

Visit the Everything Dinosaur website: Dinosaur Models and Toys.

CollectA Deluxe Iguanodon and Mapusaurus

The CollectA1:40 deluxe Iguanodon model and the CollectA 1:40 deluxe Mapusaurus were both introduced in 2018 and they have proved to be very popular amongst model collectors and fans of dinosaurs. Despite the difficult global trading conditions, Everything Dinosaur has been able to maintain a stock of a wide range of CollectA scale model figures, including pterosaurs, prehistoric fish, prehistoric mammals and of course, dinosaurs. CollectA has continued production and put in place sensible business plans to help them accommodate the difficult global trading situation.

The introduction of the CollectA 1:40 scale Iguanodon replica in 2018 was particularly significant as it graphically demonstrated how our perceptions regarding this large Cretaceous ornithopod had changed. The CollectA Iguanodon figure helped to convey how the scientific description of Iguanodon has radically altered since it was formally named and described as a genus back in 1825.
