Everything Dinosaur has received a delivery of new Mojo Fun prehistoric animal models and figures and the new colour variant of the Mojo Fun Entelodont Daeodon is now in stock. This brown-coloured replica of an ancient relative of modern pigs (even-toed ungulates), replaces the earlier Mojo Fun Daeodon figure which was predominantly grey.

The sculpt is the same, but the colour scheme has changed, and this figure has already proved to be popular with model collectors and fans of prehistoric animals. The carefully painted model has the typical large skull of an entelodont, and the open mouth pose allows the large and robust teeth to be highlighted.
The model measures just under 13 cm in length and that impressive shoulder hump is approximately 8 cm off the ground.

As part of the recent Mojo Fun prehistoric and extinct model range delivery to our warehouse, Everything Dinosaur received fresh stock of the popular Mojo Fun Deinotherium model. Recently, this prehistoric elephant figure has been given a new colour scheme, this new version replaces the older, darker grey colour variant replica.

The Mojo Fun Deinotherium model is just one of several prehistoric mammals that are included in the company’s “Prehistoric Life” model range.
A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“From time to time, a manufacturer will change the paint specification of a model and a new colour variant will be introduced. This is something that lots of model manufacturers do, it helps to freshen up a product range without having to go to the expense of developing a completely new figure.”

A baby Torosaurus model is going to be reunited with the adult Torosaurus in a model set thanks to efforts from Everything Dinosaur. A customer had recently purchased the PNSO Torosaurus model set (Aubrey and Dabei), but unfortunately, the baby Torosaurus figure (Dabei) was missing from the set.
Having been alerted to the problem, team members at Everything Dinosaur set about finding a baby Torosaurus model and despatching this figure to their American customer.

A Busy Period for PNSO Model Sales
Usually, this oversight at the factory would be easily corrected, team members could simply despatch a baby Torosaurus model from their own warehouse. However, due to an extremely busy Christmas period for PNSO model sales, the PNSO Torosaurus Aubrey and Dabei set had sold out.
A shipment of PNSO models due to arrive shortly at Everything Dinosaur did contain more Torosaurus model sets, but team members decided to try and resolve this problem for the customer as quickly as they could.
With PNSO’s collaboration, a Dabei Torosaurus model was sourced from the next scheduled factory production run and rushed over to the UK.

A cyber incident at Royal Mail had temporarily suspended all Royal Mail international mail being sent out to the USA from the UK. The announcement of a resolution to the problem coincided with the arrival of the baby Torosaurus model at Everything Dinosaur’s offices. Team members were able to contact the customer and arrange to despatch the parcel containing the dinosaur model.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur thanked the customer for their patience and commented:
“We had not come across this problem before, and with no more PNSO Torosaurus sets in our warehouse we had to wait until the next factory production run before a baby Torosaurus figure could be rushed over to the UK. Our thanks to our chums at PNSO for helping with this, the baby dinosaur will soon be reunited with its mother.”

The Zuul dinosaur model is one of four new figures to come into Everything Dinosaur from the Safari Ltd range. The other three models are the Wild Safari Prehistoric World Albertosaurus, and in the sub-brand “Dino Dana” a Stygimoloch and a replica of the controversial dwarf tyrannosaur Nanotyrannus.

The Gatekeeper of Gozer
The genus name was inspired by a monster that appeared in the 1984 film “Ghostbusters”, the horned monster being Zuul the Gatekeeper of Gozer. The species epithet combines crus (Latin) for shin or shank, and vastator (Latin) for destroyer, in reference to the beautiful sledgehammer-like tail club that was the first part of the fossil specimen to be discovered.

Wild Safari Prehistoric World Albertosaurus
This striking replica of a Late Cretaceous, North American member of the Tyrannosauridae family is a welcome addition to the Safari Ltd model range. This extensive model series already includes several T. rex figures and in 2021, a replica of Daspletosaurus was added to this range.
Stalking amongst the model bricks, an Albertosaurus model, an excellent replica of a Late Cretaceous tyrannosaur from North America.
The model measures 25 cm long (10 inches) and that detailed head stands approximately 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) off the ground. A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented that the patterning on the model chosen by the designers would have helped to camouflage this large carnivore as it stalked its prey in the woodlands that were common throughout the Late Cretaceous landscape of northern Laramidia.
Albertosaurus fossils, specifically the nearly 1,150 fossil bones recovered from the Dry Island bonebed adjacent to the Red Deer River in Alberta, provide evidence that this theropod was gregarious and lived in packs.
The type species Albertosaurus sarcophagus was named and described by Henry Fairfield Osborn in 1905, the same year in which Osborn named and described the much larger, geologically younger but closely related Tyrannosaurus rex.

Mojo Fun Woolly Mammoth
The Woolly Mammoth is one of two Ice Age figures to be added to the Mojo Fun “Prehistoric Life” range of figures. A Woolly Rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis) is due to arrive at Everything Dinosaur in a few weeks.
The Woolly Mammoth model is an update on the previous Mojo Fun figure, we suspect that this earlier 1:20 scale Mammuthus primigenius model from Mojo Fun will now be retired.
The hair texture and details of the shaggy coat of this prehistoric elephant model have been praised by Everything Dinosaur team members.

A spokesperson for the award-winning, UK-based company stated that team members were most impressed with this Mammuthus primigenius replica.
The spokesperson added:
“There are lots of Woolly Mammoth figures and models available. It is always pleasing to see a manufacturer updating figures in their range and we congratulate the team at Mojo Fun for their amazing Woolly Mammoth and we look forward to the arrival of their Woolly Rhinoceros.”

Team members at Everything Dinosaur have been busy preparing a Brighstoneus scale drawing in readiness for the arrival of the new for 2023 CollectA Brighstoneus dinosaur model. The first of the new for 2023 CollectA prehistoric animal figures are expected to be in stock in a few weeks. As we research and write our Brighstoneus fact sheet, a scale drawing was commissioned so that we could demonstrate the approximate size of this recently described dinosaur.

When scientifically described (Lockwood et al), Brighstoneus was estimated to measure around eight metres in length, and to have a body mass of approximately nine hundred kilogrammes, team members at Everything Dinosaur have attempted to reflect the animal’s size by using a silhouette of a human being to give a visual guide to scale. Readers can hopefully appreciate how our drawing represents the CollectA Age of Dinosaurs Popular model.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur, explained that they were looking forward to receiving this exciting new herbivorous dinosaur replica and confirmed that the first batch of CollectA prehistoric animal figures (with the exception of the 1:6 scale Stegouros and the 1:20 scale Koolasuchus), should be arriving at the company’s warehouse in a few weeks. The Stegouros and the Koolasuchus were due to be in stock later in the year (April/May 2023).
Everything Dinosaur can confirm that the new for 2023 Mojo Fun Woolly Rhino model will be in stock around May (2023). This new replica of Coelodonta antiquitatis will be available from Everything Dinosaur in a few months.

The Mojo Fun Woolly Rhino model will be part of the “Prehistoric Life” series and this replica follows the new version Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) that the company developed recently. Replicas of Woolly Rhinos are amongst the most popular Ice Age figures with collectors, only Sabre-toothed cat figures and Woolly Mammoths tend to be stronger sellers.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“We are looking forward to receiving the new Mojo Fun Woolly Rhino model. This is the only new figure being added to the Mojo Fun Prehistoric Life range and from the images we have seen it looks a really good Ice Age figure.”
Coelodonta antiquitatis
This geographically widespread species is thought to have originated in Asia (Tibet). Fossils have been found throughout both eastern and western Europe (no fossils found in Ireland). The last of these magnificent creatures died out around 10,000 years ago. Over hunting by humans may have played a role, however, most palaeontologists consider that these large animals were unable to adapt to a rapidly changing climate at the end of the last Ice Age.

It will be interesting to see if that large nose horn has flattened sides. Scientists think the sides of the horn (which was made of keratin), were worn away as the animal brushed snow aside so that it could graze on the sedges, mosses and grasses hidden underneath.
Since its introduction into the CollectA scale model range in 2017 the CollectA Deluxe Dimorphodon model has proved to be extremely popular with prehistoric animal model collectors and fans of the Pterosauria.

CollectA Deluxe Dimorphodon
Having been a part of the CollectA range of scale models for five years, team members at Everything Dinosaur thought they knew all there was to know about this 37.5 cm long pterosaur figure with its articulated jaw. However, we were informed earlier this week that this flying reptile model was created as a 1:3 scale figure.
An Award-winning Pterosaur Model
The CollectA Supreme Deluxe Dimorphodon model has been voted by readers of Prehistoric Times magazine the best non-dinosaur prehistoric animal toy of 2017. One of several awards received by CollectA and their design team for the figures that they have introduced.
