Lots of Rebor Models Back in Stock at Everything Dinosaur

So many Rebor replicas have come back into stock at Everything Dinosaur, that we dedicated an entire customer newsletter to this popular brand of prehistoric animal figures.  Recently arrived at our warehouse is a “pack” of “raptors”. The Rebor 1/18th scale figures “Winston”, “Pete” and “Alex Delarge” have arrived.  There are enough Velociraptor figures in stock to keep even the most ardent Jurassic Park fan happy.  Also, just in, the new Rebor “Sweeney” Velociraptor figure.

Rebor 1:18 Scale Velociraptor Figures

The Velociraptor figure called “Winston” was the first 1:18 scale Velociraptor model to be produced by Rebor, it is great to see this favourite back in stock.  In addition, our latest Rebor shipment contained two other, previously stocked Rebor “raptor” figures, namely, “Pete” and “Alex Delarge”.  The original Velociraptor figure “Winston” was named in honour of Stan Winston, the American film and television special effects creator who worked on the first three films in the Jurassic Park film franchise.

“Alex Delarge” and “Pete” are members of a violent gang (the droogs), in Anthony Burgess’s novel of 1962 “A Clockwork Orange”, which was later made into a film directed by Stanley Kubrick.

Joining the “Raptors” in Everything Dinosaur’s website is the “Cerberus Clan”, three scale models of the larger dromaeosaurid Deinonychus (D. antirrhopus).  In addition and sharing the billing with the Rebor “Cerberus Clan” is another Velociraptor figure that is back in stock, the popular Velociraptor “Pete”.

Before we had the opportunity to finish unloading all the new Mojo Fun models, the CollectA roaring, feathered Tyrannosaurus rex arrived.  This is the latest feathered dinosaur to be made by CollectA and it has replaced the original 1:40 scale model that came out in 2015.  CollectA were unsure about the future of their first, large, 1:40 scale feathered T. rex replica, but after three years in production, the company decided that it would replace its first figure with a new dinosaur replica, this time, depicting T. rex vocalising.

Great news for fans of the Rebor replicas, the popular Ceratosaurus (C. dentisulcatus) model is back in stock!  There are more than thirty figures in the Rebor range currently, with more models to be announced before the end of the year.  Newsletter readers will be amongst the first to find out about availability and release dates for the new Rebor figures.

Rebor has introduced a three-dimensional poster of the Utahraptor figure “Wind Hunter” produced by the company.  This poster, the first to be made by Rebor, is also available from Everything Dinosaur.  This colourful and very striking dinosaur poster measures 26.5 cm by 20 cm (including the frame) and it is a limited-edition item.  It makes a smashing backdrop to the 1:35 scale Rebor Utahraptor ostrommaysorum figure.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“Once again the design team at Rebor have produced a pair of innovative carnivorous dinosaur themed items.  The “Chickenosaurus” has a light up base and when lit, the superb detail on the little dinosaur embryo can be clearly seen.  As for the three-dimensional, lenticular poster, it gives the impression that the eyes of a pack of hungry Utahraptors are following you around the room – spooky.”

Model Retirements Announced in Everything Dinosaur’s Newsletter

In a meeting with the senior management of Safari Ltd a few months ago, Everything Dinosaur was informed that the model making company was going to slim down its inventory.   Three models have been retired, the Edmontosaurus, Inostrancevia and the Nigersaurus, expect more retirements to be announced by Everything Dinosaur in the near future.  Also, rumoured to be consigned to extinction, is the Battat Terra Amargasaurus figure, this sauropod dinosaur model, is believed to be out of production.

Safari Ltd Retirements

The model of the gorgonopsid Inostrancevia, part of the Wild Safari Prehistoric World model range was introduced along with the Edmontosaurus back in 2011.  It is a shame to see these three figures out of production, but we can expect to hear of new model introductions to this award-winning range in the autumn.

Battat Terra Amargasaurus

Rumours abound about the retirement of the Amargasaurus dinosaur model from the Battat Terra range.  It is proving very difficult to find stocks, however, model collectors and dinosaur fans can rest assured, Everything Dinosaur has plenty of stock of this figure that is believed to have been withdrawn from production.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“One of the benefits of subscribing to our newsletter is that you can find out about model retirements and figures going out of production before most other collectors.  This enables dinosaur fans who have subscribed to complete their model collections.”

Giant Squid Soft Toys and New Papo Models

One of our more unusual soft toys features in the May newsletter, the cute and cuddly giant squid soft toy.  This colourful plush cephalopod measures over eighty centimetres long from the tips of the tentacles to its rear end.  We also had to mark the arrival of the first for 2018 Papo figures by giving the Papo cave man with spear, the Papo young Spinosaurus and the Papo Amargasaurus a mention.

Schleich and Safari Ltd Figures

A cornucopia of prehistoric animal figures is featured in the middle section of the Everything Dinosaur January Newsletter.  Safari Ltd have introduced thirteen new models into the Wild Safari Prehistoric World range for 2018, but just for good measure, Everything Dinosaur has added the Przewalski’s horse replica as well.  After all, models of this relic from the last Ice Age are few and far between and the Safari Ltd “Winner’s Circle” figure is a particularly good example.

The first of the Schleich 2018 prehistoric animal figures are also featured in this section of our newsletter.  Just like the models opposite them, they have all been beautifully painted and prices at Everything Dinosaur start at just £5.99 plus P&P.   The Schleich Psittacosaurus, Dinogorgon and the lithe Tawa are already proving to be very popular with dinosaur fans and model collectors.

Elephants, Tullimontrum and Prehistoric Animal Additions

Animals with a proboscis are also featured in our latest newsletter.  One of these is familiar, the other, is one of the most bizarre animals known to science.  As well as bringing in the PNSO Age of Dinosaurs range, Everything Dinosaur has also been able to stock a small number of the PNSO Family Zoo figures, including the White Rhinoceros, Hippopotamus and the amazing African Elephant figure (illustrated below).  PNSO stands for the Peking Natural Sciences Organisation and their brief is not limited to extinct creatures, they have produced some wonderful models of animals living today.  However, just like the figures themselves, the animals the models represent are also rare.

The Paleo-Creatures Tully Monster (Tullimonstrum)

January’s newsletter also featured an update on the Paleo-Creatures Tully Monster figure.  Some more of these hand-crafted replicas have arrived back in stock, replicas of one of the most unusual animals to have ever existed on planet Earth.  Known from one location, the Mazon Creek fossil beds of Illinois, this marine creature looks like an alien with its long proboscis ending in a mouth and eyes on horizontally positioned stalks, even the taphonomy of this Lagerstätte is poorly understood.  Scientists debate whether T. gregarium was a vertebrate or an invertebrate, the taxonomic classification of this little creature that lived in around 300 million years ago, remains controversial.
