Start Exploring Dinosaurs – Box Set (Christmas Gift Idea)

This time of year we get lots of phone calls and emails from Mums, Dads, and Grandparents asking advice about purchasing Christmas gifts for children, how can they help them start exploring dinosaurs? Since our company is made up of parents, teachers and dinosaur experts we are well placed to make recommendations. Indeed, as we conduct our own focus groups and test products before they go into our shop we have a big database which helps us provide information and advice.

Often we are asked to recommend something that will entertain, educate and won’t be a “five minute wonder” to quote one parent. There are a lot of very good quality and excellent items in our ranges but one particular gift idea is the Start Exploring Dinosaurs Kit.

Kit comes complete with watercolour pencils, paintbrush, young palaeontologist’s handbook, in fact everything you need to complete the posters, make the puzzle, build the model. Exclusive 2009 Prehistoric Animal Calendar Available from Everything Dinosaur

By Mike|2024-04-15T13:19:26+01:00October 28th, 2008|Categories: Everything Dinosaur News and Updates, Main Page, Press Releases|0 Comments

2009 Calendar Exclusive to Everything Dinosaur

A 2009 Dinosaur calendar featuring scientific illustrations and prehistoric animal facts produced by Everything Dinosaur in association with American illustrator Mike Fredericks is now available from Everything Dinosaur.

Visit our website: Everything Dinosaur.

Palaeontologists do not know what colour dinosaurs were, so young palaeontologists can use their imaginations and show us what dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals looked like. Using the scientific drawings in this calendar you can colour them in and bring them back to life!

A number of recent dinosaur discoveries are featured in the calendar, animals such as Bambiraptor and Dracorex, rubbing shoulders with old favourites such as Tyrannosaurus rex and Liopleurodon. We have even included a special “Spot the Dinosaurs” quiz with links to this blog so that young dinosaur fans can hunt down the answers.

Lots of Positive Comments from Everything Dinosaur Customers

With team members at Everything Dinosaur busy preparing and packing orders for customers in readiness for Christmas, it is important that we still make time to reply to all the questions, feedback forms and emails that we receive from our many thousands of satisfied customers. We try to respond to all those customer queries and questions that require a reply, it does mean working very long hours but we think it is worth it. For a small business such as Everything Dinosaur, customer testimonials mean an awful lot to us and we do get sent some wonderful feedback with regards to our dinosaur toys and games and our customer service.

For example, J. Shebden who had purchased a dinosaur soft toy took the time and trouble to email us saying:

“Great choice of products, thought your delivery time was excellent – really fast!”

Writing to express similar thoughts, M. Harvey left a review on the Everything Dinosaur website after purchasing another dinosaur soft toy, simply stating:

“Very quick service, I liked the confirmation email, very helpful.”

It is always a pleasure to hear from customers, it is satisfying to know that all our hard work is appreciated.

Commenting on the Jurassic Wars dice game that she had recently purchased Amy wrote:

“The game is well packaged and presented, the sturdy box makes an excellent combat arena for the dinosaur dice battles. Lovely to see a dice based game involving tactics and lots of dinosaurs.”

We share such feedback with the manufacturers, such comments are most welcome.

Christmas Gift Suggestion – Dinosaur Dino-opoly

By Mike|2023-02-25T20:33:15+00:00October 19th, 2008|Categories: Everything Dinosaur News and Updates, Main Page, Press Releases|0 Comments

Christmas Gift Idea: Dinosaur Dino-poly

A number of publications will be featuring Everything Dinosaur and some of their products in forthcoming articles and stories suggesting Christmas gift ideas, for example dinosaur dino-opoly. We along with our product testers get involved in testing all sorts of dinosaur related toys and games. Journalists are producing articles for their readers making recommendations for Christmas presents for those difficult to buy for relatives and friends.

Purchasing a gift for a child can be difficult. Not only does the item have to win favour with the child, but in many cases it is important for the present to win the approval of the parents. Dinosaur Dino-poly from Everything Dinosaur, a twist on the traditional family board game, not only entertains but also educates, so it ticks all the right boxes.

The game is a variation on the traditional board game format. As you travel round the board you pick up bones and other artefacts so that you can build your own dinosaur museum. We loved the fact that a range of dinosaurs are featured, including some of the more unusual ones and the little metal counters such as the trilobite fossil and the geological hammer add a touch of authenticity. Suitable from 8 years and upwards (although some of my colleagues have been beaten by clever six-year olds), the game is designed to be played by 2-6 players. It even has a quick play one-hour option for all those palaeontologists in a hurry.

A Gorgeous Dinosaur Hat from Everything Dinosaur

A Dinosaur Hat from Everything Dinosaur

Dressing up can be so much fun but for young dinosaur fans, dinosaur dressing up costumes and a dinosaur hat are almost as rare as fossils of Tyrannosaurus rex. However, the good people at Everything Dinosaur have gone some way to helping to grant the wishes of all those budding palaeontologists eager to impersonate their favourite animals from the past.

Dinosaur Hat

The company has introduced a cute and cuddly dinosaur hat, what is more this unusual headgear is actually modelled on a real dinosaur, a fierce meat-eater called Spinosaurus.

Spinosaurus lived during the Cretaceous and was notable for having a large sail down its back, when creating a fun dinosaur hat the team at Everything Dinosaur used a Spinosaurus for their inspiration and “Spino” – the name the team members have given to their millinery creation came into being.

We are not entirely sure what baby spinosaurs looked like, but they probably had relative long limbs and disproportionately large heads when compared to adults (a concept scientist call distal growth). Talking of big heads, the flexible elasticated band on Spino enables this cute hat to fit over most heads – even “big heads” as demonstrated below.

“Nice to see a variety of models, not just the obvious ones available. I am very happy.”

Create your own Dinosaur Museum with Fossil Skeleton Kits

By Mike|2023-02-25T18:29:44+00:00September 29th, 2008|Categories: Everything Dinosaur News and Updates, Main Page, Press Releases|0 Comments

Everything Dinosaur Introduces Fossil Model Kits

Build your own mini natural history museum with a set of prehistoric animal skeleton models that have the texture of real fossil bone. These new kits have been designed to allow young palaeontologists to turn their bedrooms or home study area into a dinosaur fossil gallery just like a real museum. These are a great product idea to help encourage dinosaur crafts for kids.

Each snap together kit comes complete with handbook, assembly instructions and a Everything Dinosaur fact sheet on the prehistoric animal represented. The set consists of six different models – Triceratops, Stegosaurus, an unusual model of a Velociraptor, Parasaurolophus, Pteranodon and of course a Tyrannosaurus rex.

The picture shows the Stegosaurus model with the model that represents dromaeosaurs (Velociraptor). Each model comes in its own plastic test tube and when fully assembled the models are approximately 20 cm in length. The texture of the model gives a fossilised bone effect to give the display authenticity. You can build up your own collection of dinosaur skeleton models.

Prehistoric Animal Skeleton Models

It is always a pleasure to see a pterosaur represented in these types of series and in this case it is a Pteranodon (P. longiceps). Most pterosaur exhibits in museums are hung from ceilings or roof beams but in this case a handy stand is supplied so that the Pteranodon model can be displayed.

A spokesperson from the award-winning, mail order company Everything Dinosaur commented:

“These dinosaur and prehistoric animal skeleton models have proved to be extremely popular with young dinosaur fans.”
