Schleich Woolly Mammoth Figure Available

The new Schleich model depicts this iconic proboscidean with its characteristic curved tusks and thick, shaggy coat. This is not the first Woolly Mammoth model made by Schleich.  When Everything Dinosaur first started more than twenty years ago, Schleich sold two Woolly Mammoth models.  They were the adult figure and a model of a baby Woolly Mammoth.  These days, the two figures are rare, and high prices are paid for models in collecting forums that are in good condition.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“We are delighted to welcome the new Schleich Woolly Mammoth figure into our warehouse. Woolly Mammoths are instantly recognisable prehistoric animals and remain extremely popular with collectors and fans. It is great to see Ice Age animals added to the Schleich model range.”

New Packaging Introduced

The arrival of this model has also highlighted changes in packaging presentation. The new Schleich Woolly Mammoth figure is supplied with updated protective packaging. The model is wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside an outer plastic bag. The packaging includes labelling and recycling information to help meet new European packaging requirements, including preparations linked to the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).  We don’t recall Schleich models being supplied wrapped in bubble wrap previously.

The PPWR aims to improve packaging sustainability, support recycling and provide clearer information about packaging materials.  The Everything Dinosaur Evolution product packaging leads the way in terms of PPWR compliance.

We continue to monitor changes in packaging regulations and work closely with our stakeholders to ensure our model range continues to be compliant.

The Woolly Mammoth remains one of the best-known prehistoric creatures. Fossils, frozen remains and ancient cave art have provided scientists with remarkable insights into these magnificent prehistoric elephants.

The arrival of the Schleich Woolly Mammoth figure provides collectors with another opportunity to add a representation of this remarkable Ice Age giant to their prehistoric animal collections.

The new Schleich Woolly Mammoth model is coming into stock at Everything Dinosaur. Team members are preparing for the arrival of this latest Schleich figure.  The Germany-based model manufacturer has made models of Ice Animals in the past.  It had previously manufactured a Woolly Mammoth adult and juvenile.  The new Mammuthus primigenius figure will be joined shortly by a replica of Smilodon.

The Schleich Woolly Mammoth Model

When Everything Dinosaur was set up more than twenty years ago, Schleich manufactured a range of prehistoric animal figures.  The models included a glyptodont, cave bear, Smilodon, Macrauchenia and the Mammuthus primigenius pair (adult and young). Indeed, the old Schleich Woolly Mammoth figure (SKU MOPM001), was the very first item on the first prehistoric animal model stock sheet produced by Everything Dinosaur.

It is pleasing to see a Woolly Mammoth figure return to the Schleich range, although the model is not a re-make, it is a new sculpt.

The Schleich Woolly Mammoth model has been carefully posed with its front right foot raised.

Model Measurements

The new model measures a fraction under twenty-two centimetres in length and that impressive domed head is around twelve and a half centimetres off the ground.  It is ideal for robust, creative and imaginative play.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“It’s great to see a Woolly Mammoth model back in the Schleich line up.  I missed having their earlier figure around.  These models are ideal for imaginative play; it helps to have more than just the dinosaurs represented by the range.  The addition of other prehistoric animals, including prehistoric mammals, helps to inform and educate young collectors about the diverse range of creatures that once lived on planet Earth.”

New Schleich models for 2026 have arrived at Everything Dinosaur.  The new figures include a Brontosaurus, Triceratops and a Dimetrodon model. In addition, the Schleich Megalodon model is available too.  Schleich has been making dinosaur models for decades.  The company has a reputation for making robust, colourful prehistoric animal figures which are ideal for creative, imaginative play.

The Schleich Dimetrodon has an articulated lower jaw.  Interestingly, the new Triceratops figure has a moveable head.  Schleich has manufactured Triceratops and Dimetrodon figures previously.  However, the latest figures are typical of Schleich, they are well-painted and attractive.  The Triceratops is particularly colourful with a most impressive headshield.

Brontosaurus has been modelled by Schleich on numerous occasions.  The 2026 Brontosaurus measures thirty-three centimetres in length and has a head height over eleven centimetres.  As with the other Schleich figures it is great for creative, imaginative play.

Schleich have re-introduced a replica of the famous sauropod Brontosaurus.

A Schleich Megalodon Model

Prehistoric shark figures are popular. Schleich have introduced a replica of the largest carnivorous shark known to science (Otodus megalodon).  The figure is marketed under this extinct shark’s popular common name “Megalodon”. At nearly thirty centimetres long, it is an impressive figure.

Members of the model collecting community might be confused over the name of this figure.  The scientific name for this shark is Otodus megalodon.  Its taxonomy has been revised, and it is now thought that this ancient predatory fish is not closely related to the Great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias).

Commenting on the introduction of these four prehistoric animal models, Mike from Everything Dinosaur stated:

“Schleich continues to expand its prehistoric animal range with some exciting new additions. These four new figures combine imaginative design with excellent detail, so we expect them to prove popular with collectors and young dinosaur fans alike. Furthermore, they help to broaden the diversity of prehistoric animals represented in the Schleich range. In addition, as Triceratops, Dimetrodon and Brontosaurus figures have been made before, it is fascinating to see the latest interpretations. We are delighted to have all four models in stock and available to our customers. As always, we look forward to hearing what collectors think of these latest arrivals.”

The Schleich Carcharodontosaurus Model

This is the first time that Schleich has introduced a replica of Carcharodontosaurus into its model range.  The figure has the typical skull shape of Carcharodontosaurus.  Moreover, we note the enlarged claw on the hand.  The new for 2025 Schleich Carcharodontosaurus has an articulated lower jaw.  It looks fearsome!

The model is beautifully balanced, and the elegant feet make the figure extremely stable.

Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented:

“These are the first of the new for 2025 Schleich prehistoric animal figures.  There is a new Velociraptor figure and a Dilophosaurus coming too.  Schleich figures are popular with children. It is great to see a Diplodocus and another theropod added to the Schleich range.”
