New Sauropod Replicas
Schleich of Germany has revised their prehistoric animal model range. A number of replicas have been retired, most notably the remaining prehistoric mammal models they used to make (two Mammoths and a Smilodon). The Saurus range has been reduced and there are some new colour variants of existing models plus some brand new additions to the “World of History” product category including new replicas of Apatosaurus and Brachiosaurus.

It is pleasing to see a sauropod model with the nostrils depicted in the right place, not down the snout but further up on the top of the skull.
A Brachiosaurus Replica
In addition to the new Apatosaurus there is a new Brachiosaurus replica, one that team members at Everything Dinosaur have nicknamed “dusky maiden” as a result of the model’s colouration.

This Brachiosaurus model made by Schleich is an absolutelly awesome dinosaur. I could say that this is one of the best dinosaur models that I have in my collection. I have Brachiosaurus knock-offs of chinese unknown marks, even with sound, and even when they are cute and awesome, and I love them, this model is gorgeous and one of my beloved ones, because it overcomes them all in sofistication, attention to details, shape, size, color and expresions.
This dinosaur model brings me to the Jurassic park 3 film, and transported me precisely at the moment when the kid and the doctor Alan Grant were on that ship, sailing in the river and passed in front of a herd of dinos and a Brachiosaurus almost iddentical to this model, came to see them, and salute them by lowing its neck.. I’m only missing to say: Welcome to Jurassic Park, when I see this model!
You did a very good work, Schleich, and also obviously you, everythingdinosaur dot com, for bring us so cool dinosaur toys.
