Rebor Tusk T. rex – How to Insert the Tailpiece

The next video to be posted up on Everything Dinosaur’s YouTube channel will feature the popular Rebor Tusk T. rex 1:35 scale replica and in this video, we will demonstrate how to insert the tail piece in the body of the Tyrannosaurus rex.

It is a fabulous 1/35th scale figure and in our short YouTube video we plan to look at the box contents, remind customers to take care not to lose the support stand that is supplied with this model and demonstrate how to insert the tail.

The techniques and methods we suggest in the video work for most prehistoric animal figures and for “Kiss” the counterpart T. rex figure that was introduced by Rebor at the same time as “Tusk”.

Transparent Plastic Stand

The Rebor Tusk T. rex dinosaur model is supplied with a transparent plastic support stand to help support this splendid tyrannosaur figure. In the video we demonstrate where to place the stand under the figure to ensure the model is stable when it is displayed.

Bipedal dinosaur replicas can have stability problems, especially if the figure is anatomically correct. In the “Tusk” models that team members at Everything Dinosaur have examined, the figures seem quite stable even when placed on the carpet.

Rebor Display Bases Video Review

With the recent arrival of the Rebor display bases “Summer Kisses” and “Winter Tears”, team members at Everything Dinosaur have been busy preparing them for despatch to customers, however, we did take time out of our busy schedule to create a short YouTube video of these fabulous new additions to the Rebor range.

Everything Dinosaur reviews the Rebor non-scale diorama bases, “Summer Kisses” and “Winter Tears”.

“Summer Kisses” and “Winter Tears”

These are the first, bespoke display bases that Rebor have made, and they have been cleverly designed to accommodate a variety of models, bipedal theropods but also some of the Rebor ornithischians such as their Stegosaurus figures.

A Dry Season and a Wet Season

Each base has amazing details, but there is still plenty of room to pose a prehistoric animal figure or two. A large tree stump towards the rear of each base provides additional support for the model on the base. Although the bases depict the same area of prehistoric landscape, their colour schemes are very different. The lush, verdant “Summer Kisses” depicts the area during the wet season, whilst “Winter Tears” with its muted browns and greys depicts the same location but in the dry season when the lack of water leads to a reduction in the amount of vegetation.

Rebor Display Bases

These stunning Rebor display bases are delicate, fragile polystone casts and we advise customers to remove them from their protective foam packaging with care. In Everything Dinosaur’s short video (it lasts just under five minutes thirty seconds), we provide a really useful tip to help customers avoid damaging their display base when they attempt to unpack it.

In our YouTube video, we explain that each box has been opened and the contents checked and then the bases have been repacked with extra cardboard protection. Team members have included a helpful advisory note to assist with unpacking in the box.

Rebor Saurophaganax “Jungle” Video Showcase

Everything Dinosaur has posted up onto its YouTube channel the second video in the trilogy showcasing the Rebor Saurophaganax maximus Notorious Big 1:35 scale dinosaur models. The second video features the “Jungle” colour scheme. The short YouTube video highlighting the Rebor Saurophaganax in the “Badlands” colour scheme was posted up a few days ago, the final video in this series, showcasing the stunning “Volcanic Cavern” figure will be posted shortly.

The “Jungle” Colour Variant

Saurophaganax fossil material is exceptionally rare, much rarer than its contemporaries such as Allosaurus fragilis or Ceratosaurus nasicornis. Although numerous theropods are associated with the the Brushy Basin Member, which is the youngest part of the Morrison Formation, only a handful of fragmentary fossils have been ascribed to S. maximus.

Careful and systematic study of the sedimentary characteristics of the Brushy Basin Member (Tanner et al, 2014), contradict the original conclusion that these sediments were laid down in a very wet environment with extensive lakes and marshes. The palaeoclimate suggests strong seasonal variations with semi-arid periods caused by reduced rainfall (weaker monsoons) interspersed with much wetter, sub-humid periods that resulted from much stronger monsoons. A green-coloured predator would have been camouflaged well against the background vegetation. Of all the three colour variants offered by Rebor – “Badlands, “Jungle” and “Volcanic Cavern”, arguably “Jungle” would provide the best camouflage for the predator.

Team members at Everything Dinosaur have created a short product video showcase featuring the Rebor Saurophaganax maximus “Badlands” version. The “Badlands” colour variant is one of three, 1:35 scale Saurophaganax figures recently introduced by Rebor, Everything Dinosaur plans to make short YouTube videos for each variant – “Badlands”, “Jungle” and the crimson coloured “Volcanic Cavern”.

The short video lasts for approximately 45 seconds. It was shot in Everything Dinosaur’s studio and shows the new Rebor dinosaur model on a rotating turntable. This permits viewers to get a good view of the figure from a variety of angles. The snug fit of the tail piece can be observed, the seam is barely visible.

The video concludes by showing the model held by a person, which gives an immediate impression of size. The articulated jaw is demonstrated and the tail is repositioned to highlight its flexibility.

The model is very stable as it slowly rotates on the turntable during the video.

Everything Dinosaur team members have produced a short YouTube video highlighting the new for 2022 Schleich Amargasaurus dinosaur model. The video was posted up onto the company’s YouTube channel earlier today and is part of a project to help customers make informed purchase decisions by creating videos showcasing prehistoric animal models and figures.

New for 2022 Schleich Prehistoric Animal Models

In early 2022, Everything Dinosaur received five new prehistoric animal models that had been introduced by Schleich, there was a model of the Triassic marine reptile Nothosaurus and four dinosaurs namely Majungasaurus, Styracosaurus, Parasaurolophus and an Amargasaurus. All five of these new Schleich models featured in short YouTube videos, the first to be posted up was the Parasaurolophus model, the last new Schleich figure to be put into the video spotlight was the Amargasaurus model.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur explained that as the company physically stocked the models, storing them in their own warehouse, they could shoot short videos that highlighted the features of the replicas and figures giving potential customers the opportunity to view actual models rather than just relying on the manufacturer’s product images.

Videos Under 45 Seconds in Length

Tests were still being carried out to see how best to upload product showcase videos onto Everything Dinosaur’s website without the loading time of the site being compromised. Videos had been kept to a maximum length of around 45 seconds, permitting viewers to see the figure in plenty of detail. The models are placed on a turntable so that they can be viewed from various angles.

The video showcase highlights features such as the beautifully painted eye on the figure and the wonderful, intricate skin texture. Highlights that could be missed when relying solely on the images provided by Schleich.

The latest product video showcase has been posted up on Everything Dinosaur’s YouTube channel and in this short video, it is the new for 2022 Schleich Styracosaurus dinosaur model that has been put into the spotlight.

Team members at Everything Dinosaur have embarked on a project to embed short videos highlighting some of the prehistoric animal models that they sell into the award-winning company’s website. The aim of a video showcase is to help customers to make an informed purchase decision when choosing a figure.

The Schleich Styracosaurus Dinosaur Model

The Schleich Styracosaurus is one of five new for 2022 prehistoric animal releases recently announced by the German manufacturer. Everything Dinosaur has already posted up three short videos highlighting models, namely the Majungasaurus, the Parasaurolophus and the marine reptile figure – Nothosaurus.

The Schleich Styracosaurus video follows a similar format. The video lasts under forty-five seconds and shows the dinosaur model revolving on a turntable. Viewers get the chance to see the figure from various angles. Model measurements are given and a pronunciation guide is provided.

A spokesperson for the UK-based, mail order company stated:

Testing Product Videos on Everything Dinosaur’s Beta Site

The spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur explained that the company was working with developers and technicians to perfect the look and positioning of the new video showcases on Everything Dinosaur’s beta site. When all tests and checks had been completed the plan is to introduce model videos on the company’s live site.

More short videos featuring dinosaurs were promised, including one for the new for 2022 Schleich Amargasaurus.

Safari Ltd Dino Dana Feathered T. rex Video Showcase

As part of the company’s on-going project to provide more information to customers about the prehistoric animal models and figures stocked, Everything Dinosaur has produced a short video showcasing the Safari Ltd Dino Dana feathered T. rex dinosaur model.

This is the first Safari Ltd prehistoric world dinosaur replica to be featured in a video showcase, a spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur confirmed that there were plans in place to include new for 2022 Safari Ltd models in this YouTube video project.

Feathered T. rex Model Measurements and QR Code Details

The product showcase video lasts thirty-seven seconds. It permits potential customers and model fans to get a better look at the feathered Tyrannosaurus rex figure. The Dino Dana T. rex is shown on a turntable and as it turns, collectors can see the figure and gain a better appreciation of the model. Measurements are provided and details of the QR (quick response) code that can be found on the dinosaur’s hang tag given. Collectors can scan this code once they have downloaded an application to the mobile phone and interact with the figure.

Feathered T. rex Dinosaur Model

The Dino Dana television show was created by a Canadian production company (Sinking Ship Entertainment). It featured the adventures of girl that can bring prehistoric animals back to life. A total of fifty-two episodes and a feature-length film were made. The series merges live action sequences with computer generated animation. The television programme first aired in 2017, the same year that Safari Ltd introduced their feathered T. rex replica, a colour variant of which becoming the Dino Dana feathered T. rex.

An Exclusive Schleich Parasaurolophus Video Showcase

The latest product video to be posted up on the Everything Dinosaur YouTube channel features the recently introduced, new for 2022 Schleich Parasaurolophus dinosaur model. This figure is one of five new prehistoric animal figures announced so far by the German model manufacturer. The Parasaurolophus dinosaur model is the first Schleich figure to be given a product showcase video by Everything Dinosaur.

Model Measurements and Did this Dinosaur Live in China?

In the short video (it lasts around 45 seconds), viewers have the opportunity to observe the Parasaurolophus figure on a revolving turntable, model measurements are provided and a caption pops up explaining that this lambeosaurine is known from North America. A second caption follows shortly afterwards that indicates that this hadrosaur may have lived on two continents as very similar fossils to those associated with the Parasaurolophus genus have been found in Heilongjiang Province (China).

The new for 2022 Schleich Parasaurolophus dinosaur model. Although mainly associated with strata laid down during the Campanian faunal stage of the Late Cretaceous of North America, fossils from younger rocks (Maastrichtian stage) in north-eastern China suggest that Parasaurolophus may have lived in Asia and persisted until the very end of the Cretaceous.

Previous Parasaurolophus Models

Schleich has made replicas of Parasaurolophus before. One of the original figures in the long retired Schleich “Saurus” series was a green Parasaurolophus. Another Parasaurolophus figure was introduced by the German manufacturer in 2007.
