Visitors to the first ever DinoCon event in the UK have the opportunity to help Everything Dinosaur.  Mike and Sue from the UK-based mail order company will be there and they will be bringing their Everything Dinosaur Evolution prototype T. rex model. Visitors can see this remarkable figure.  In addition, they can vote in an on-going survey to decide which geological formation gets explored next. Time to vote in the Everything Dinosaur Evolution Formation survey.

Mike and Sue will be in the vendors hall.  Their table is number 19 and they will be selling a wide range of prehistoric animal models and conducting the survey.  The choice of formations has been whittled down to a final five, where should the Everything Dinosaur Evolution brand go next?

Five Geological Formations to Choose From

Each formation is famous for a diverse range of prehistoric animals including many iconic dinosaurs.  In addition, the formations represent different times in the Mesozoic and different palaeoenvironments.

The formations are:

• Morrison Formation (Upper Jurassic) – a dinosaur biota consisting of Allosaurus spp. Dryosaurus altus, Camptosaurus dispar, sauropods, Ceratosaurus and Stegosaurus.
• Kem Kem Beds (Lower Cretaceous) – Carcharodontosaurus saharicus, crocodyliforms, Spinosaurus aegyptiacus, Rebbachisaurus garasbae, Deltadromeus agilis.
• The Hateg Basin (Upper Cretaceous) a unique prehistoric island biota with azhdarchid pterosaurs, Struthiosaurus transylvanicus, Balaur bondoc and dwarf titanosaurs.
• Wessex Formation (Lower Cretaceous) – Neovenator salerii, Polacanthus foxi, Eotyrannus lengi, hypsilophodonts, iguanodontids.
• Cedar Mountain (Lower Cretaceous) Falcarius utahensis, Utahraptor ostrommaysi, Moabosaurus utahensis along with ornithopods and armoured dinosaurs.

The Everything Dinosaur Evolution Formation Survey

Fans of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Everything Dinosaur brand.  The survey has been running since the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival back in June. Everything Dinosaur was a main sponsor of this event on the Dorset coast.  Now, visitors to DinoCon will have their say.
