New Papo Kronosaurus Figure in Stock

The new for 2023 Papo Kronosaurus figure is in stock at Everything Dinosaur. The shipment of new Papo Kronosaurus models has arrived at the Everything Dinosaur warehouse. The beautiful and skilfully painted replica has an articulated lower jaw.

The Papo Kronosaurus Figure

The Papo Kronosaurus figure is the second prehistoric marine reptile model to be introduced this year. In the early spring the Papo Mosasaurus model arrived.

Barnacles and All

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur praised the new Papo figure and commented:

“The model is a typical Papo prehistoric animal. It is quite quirky but skilfully sculpted and beautifully painted. It shows some amazing details such as frayed flippers and a scattering of barnacles encrusted on the reptile’s skin.”

Team members have been busy unpacking and stacking the figures in the company’s warehouse. They did confirm the model’s measurements. The Papo Kronosaurus is approximately 18.5 centimetres long. It stands around 8 centimetres high.

Haolonggood Models and Everything Dinosaur

Everything Dinosaur team members have created a short video that explains the new strategic relationship with Haolonggood and Haolonggood models. The short video (it is a little over six minutes long), explains that from the middle of September (September 2023), Haolonggood dinosaur figures will be available from Everything Dinosaur.

Haolonggood Models

The YouTube video includes a formal announcement about the new business relationship. An official certificate is shown. This was presented to the UK-based company by the Chinese manufacturer. The narrator explains that the Haolonggood models will appear on the Everything Dinosaur website next month (September 2023).

Shipment of Haolonggood Figures Expected in September

A spokesperson confirmed that a shipment of Haolonggood figures was due to arrive at Felixstowe on the 8th of September. Nineteen different Haolonggood models were expected. Once these figures had been cleared by customs, the shipment will be put on a lorry and driven to the company’s Cheshire warehouse. These new and exciting dinosaur replicas should be available from Everything Dinosaur by the middle of September.

The List of Haolonggood Models Coming into Stock

Here is the full list of Haolonggood figures that are on the first shipment. The figures are the green Dicraeosaurus (Yunmi), Nasutoceratops (Huarong and Yanqing), plus the Ouranosaurus pair. Horned dinosaurs Pentaceratops (LiKui and LiouTang), with the Pachyrhinosaurus pair. Both Apatosaurus figures (ShiJing and HuangXin) are included. Other ornithischians include the two Tianzhenosaurus models and the grey and red Edmontonia figures. The stegosaur pair Wuerhosaurus (ShiYong and JiaoTing) will be joined by the two recently introduced Allosaurus models.

The Stocking of Haolonggood Prehistoric Animal Models

Everything Dinosaur will be stocking Haolonggood prehistoric animal models. The first shipment of models is due to arrive at Everything Dinosaur’s warehouse next month (September 2023).

A total of nineteen Haolonggood dinosaur models are on their way to Everything Dinosaur. The models to be stocked include both versions of the recently introduced Allosaurus figure. The Allosaurus models are named Yangzhi and Suochao respectively.

New PNSO Edward the Megalosaurus

The PNSO Edward the Megalosaurus dinosaur model is coming into stock at Everything Dinosaur. This recently announced figure is on the same shipment as Tristan the Gorgosaurus and Wally the Albertosaurus.

Everything Dinosaur was aware that many palaeontologists had been requesting an updated and scientifically accurate Megalosaurus. Their requests have been listened to and Edward the Megalosaurus will soon be available. It joins Connor the Torvosaurus as representatives of the Megalosauridae within the PNSO range.

Megalosaurus Model Measurements

This exciting new theropod figure measures twenty-three centimetres in length and stands approximately 7 cm high. Whilst the adult size of Megalosaurus (M. bucklandii) is not known, palaeontologists have estimated that this Jurassic predator could have reached lengths of around nine metres. Based on this size, we suggest that this is an approximate 1:40 scale replica.

This dinosaur was formally described in 1824. It was described before the Dinosauria clade was erected. Megalosaurus was the first dinosaur to be given a scientific name, which is still valid today. The PNSO figure will be supplied with a clear, transparent support stand and an A3-sized Sci-Art Megalosaurus poster. In addition, the box contents will include a full-colour booklet.

Beasts of the Mesozoic Wave 2 Tyrannosaurs Completed

The fulfilment work for the Beasts of the Mesozoic Wave 2 tyrannosaurs has been completed by Everything Dinosaur. The last of the parcels for UK and European customers who participated in the “Kickstarter” scheme have been despatched.

UK customers will have started to receive their parcels. European customers will have to wait a few days more to receive their models. The figures have further to travel but all tracking information for European fulfilment orders has been emailed to customers.

Wave 2 Tyrannosaurs (Beasts of the Mesozoic)

The shipment of Beasts of the Mesozoic tyrannosaur figures arrived late on the afternoon of August 2nd. Although prior commitments meant that team members could not spend the weekend sorting out the fulfilment orders, time was scheduled to complete the packing and despatching by the 11th of August.

The work was completed 24-hours ahead of schedule.

Articulated Tyrannosaurs

There are seven figures in the Wave 2 tyrannosaur series. The models are Suskityrannus hazelae, Proceratosaurus bradleyi, Qianzhousaurus sinensis and Teratophoneus curriei. The three largest figures in wave 2 are Dryptosaurus aquilunguis, Bistahieversor sealeyi and Lythronax argestes.

The biggest tyrannosaur figures have twenty-two different points of articulation.

Beasts of the Mesozoic Tyrannosaurs

Everything Dinosaur team members prepared a newsletter about the arrival of these new theropod figures. The newsletter was despatched to subscribers late last week.

The customer newsletter is free. It is emailed to subscribers periodically. There are approximately fifteen newsletters sent out to customers each year.

Qianzhousaurus and Teratophoneus

A spokesperson from the UK-based mail order company explained:

“These figures are all in the second batch of new models in the tyrannosaur series to be released. Collectively, they are entitled “wave 2″. We have been busy contacting all those customers who requested these models as well as starting the European fulfilment. A newsletter was also emailed to our customer database. These new articulated, theropod figures are extremely popular amongst model collectors.”

These new models feature different members of the Tyrannosauroidea. For example, there is a Teratophoneus figure, representing a tyrannosaur from Utah. Also in this series is a Qianzhousaurus sinensis, a member of the Tyrannosauridae from southern China.

Beasts of the Mesozoic Proceratosaurus and Suskityrannus

A tyrannosauroid from Britain is also included in this new set of figures. Proceratosaurus bradleyi is known from the Middle Jurassic of England. Its fossils were found in Gloucestershire. The temporal and geographic range represented by these seven models is vast. For example, a figure of Suskityrannus (S. hazelae) is also included. Fossils of this dinosaur were found in Upper Cretaceous deposits in New Mexico.

“The Tyrannosaur’s Feathers” by Dr Adam Smith and Jonathan Emmett – A New Book!

A pleasant trip out to Wollaton Hall in Nottinghamshire for Everything Dinosaur team members today. This spectacular Elizabethan mansion was the venue for an event celebrating the publication of a marvellous dinosaur book for children featuring Tyrannosaurus rex. Entitled “The Tyrannosaur’s Feathers”.

Published by UCLan publishing and illustrated by the very talented Stieven Van der Poorten, “The Tyrannosaur’s Feathers” explains how our knowledge about T. rex has changed. Time for this famous, iconic dinosaur to get a makeover.

A friendly Velociraptor explains to T. rex that palaeontologists have learned a great deal about the Dinosauria. Under the guidance of a fellow theropod the T. rex is gradually transformed over the course of the book into a feathered, two-fingered, predator with lips, a tail lifted off the ground and correctly positioned arms. The authors provided a read through, even dealing with the difficulties of tyrannosaur nostrils and the dinosaur’s colouration.

Celebrating the Book Launch

As part of the event to celebrate the book launch the authors conducted a special T. rex themed quiz. The budding young palaeontologists that attended did really well and it was surprising how much information the children had picked up from the read through and the scientific explanations offered by Dr Smith. A helpful tyrannosaur research timeline aided the quiz participants.
