The Papo green Styracosaurus dinosaur model is now in stock at Everything Dinosaur. This figure is a new colour variant of the original (red) Papo Styracosaurus figure that was introduced into the “Les Dinosaures” model range in 2011, but has now been retired.

A Popular Horned Dinosaur
Styracosaurus is a popular horned dinosaur. Team members at Everything Dinosaur are often asked about this spiky centrosaurine, a dinosaur that was formally described and named more than a century ago (Lawrence Lambe in 1913). It is perhaps second only to Triceratops in terms of its popularity. Styracosaurus can be regarded as a superstar amongst the Ceratopsia.

Papo Green Styracosaurus Dinosaur Model
One of a handful of new models to be added to the Papo range, this figure effectively replaces the original Papo Styracosaurus model. Everything Dinosaur has been able to source a limited stock of the retired Papo red Styracosaurus. The UK-based mail order company is able to, at least for a short while, to offer both Papo Styracosaurus figures (green and red).

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“We are pleased to announce that the green Papo Styracosaurus figure is now available. It is great to have this figure in stock in time for the festive season.”

New Additions to the Rebor Range
Everything Dinosaur has stocked every Rebor figure, since the company burst onto the model collecting scene back in late 2014. This is the first time that Rebor have made display bases. The stunning bases are made from polystone resin and show the same landscape but at different times of the year. The Summer Kisses display base shows the landscape during the wet season and consequently, the ground is verdant and lush. In contrast, Winter Tears depicts the same ground but during the dry season, when there was little fresh vegetation about.
The Rebor diorama display bases Summer Kisses (top) and Winter Tears (bottom).
Rebor Display Bases
Although the bases have been cleverly designed, the cartons containing these beautiful models were damaged in transit. The outer carton (product packaging) is not in the usual high standard expected of the Rebor range. Everything Dinosaur has put up a note about the condition of the outer carton on the Rebor display bases product page:
“Please note the outer packaging for these figures has been damaged in transit to our warehouse. Whilst we have opened, inspected and checked all the display bases, unfortunately the outer packaging for the Rebor Non-scale Diorama bases is below the standard one would normally expect.”

Team members concerned about customers receiving a broken model have set about opening all the Rebor bases that we have in stock. Each figure has been carefully unpacked, checked and then re-packed with extra card inserted to help support the outer carton and to prevent any damage to the beautiful bases.
Our diligence is certainly paying off, it may be early days, these magnificent bases have only been in stock for a short while, but they have already picked up 5-star reviews.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur confirmed that they would take great care with the packing of these bases, doing all they can to ensure that the bases reach customers in tip-top condition.
The recently introduced (2022) CollectA deluxe Spinosaurus dinosaur model has been well received by dinosaur fans and model collectors. The latest incarnation of the largest theropod known to science is just one of the Spinosaurus figures that have been made by CollectA. Their range of Spinosaurus replicas helps to chart how our perceptions about this carnivorous dinosaur have changed.

The CollectA Deluxe Spinosaurus
The first Spinosaurus model introduced by CollectA came out not long after the range was launched. It depicted this dinosaur as a colourful biped. The model was short-lived, it was replaced by a more muted version.

Spinosaurus Replicas and Models
Since the early days of the CollectA range, Spinosaurus has been an integral part of the company’s product offering. In 2010, the first Spinosaurus in the CollectA Deluxe range was added.
In 2015 CollectA introduced their first Spinosaurus replicas depicting this animal as an obligate quadruped (walking on all fours). Three models were introduced, a 1:40 scale CollectA Deluxe Spinosaurus replica and two smaller models (Spinosaurus walking and Spinosaurus swimming). The 2015 swimming Spinosaurus model was the first CollectA model to be introduced that depicted a swimming dinosaur. These figures commemorated the centenary of the formal scientific description and naming of this theropod (1915 Stromer). CollectA was the first toy company to make a model of S. aegyptiacus based on the comprehensive reassessment carried out the previous year in a scientific paper entitled “Semiaquatic adaptations in a giant predatory dinosaur” (Ibrahim et al). The 2015 swimming Spinosaurus model was officially retired in 2019.

The latest version of this iconic carnivorous dinosaur to be added, the 2022 CollectA deluxe Spinosaurus has a restyled dorsal fin and the tail has been thickened to reflect yet more published research on this dinosaur: Spinosaurus – The River Monster.

A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented that the history of CollectA Spinosaurus models closely reflects the changing views held by palaeontologists. The changing models of Spinosaurus demonstrate how perceptions about this huge dinosaur have changed over the last two decades.
The new for 2022 Spinosaurus has certainly proved popular with one model reviewer posting on Everything Dinosaur’s website that this figure was the “best CollectA model ever”.
Time for Everything Dinosaur team members to take a look at the Wild Safari Prehistoric World Citipati dinosaur model, after the manufacturer (Safari Ltd) sent Everything Dinosaur some extra pictures of this popular feathered replica.
Under the magnifying glass! Safari Limited’s Wild Safari Prehistoric World feathered Citipati replica.
Wild Safari Prehistoric World Citipati
Originally introduced in 2019, into Safari Limited’s Wild Safari Prehistoric World series, this colourful replica has swiftly become a firm favourite with dinosaur fans and collectors of prehistoric animal models.
The manufacturing and distribution of this dinosaur figure was prescient. Production of the model was underway when a new scientific paper was published proposing that additional specimens should be added to the Citipati genus. The genus name for this three-metre-long theropod comes from the Sanskrit for “funeral pyre lord”, a reference to a tale from Buddhist folklore about two religious disciples that were beheaded by a thief. The beautifully preserved Citipati specimens were excavated from the red sandstone deposits of the Djadokhta Formation. The species name is in honour of the Polish palaeontologist Halszka Osmólska (1930 – 2008), who pioneered research into Asian dinosaurs and made a substantial contribution to our understanding of the diversity of the Theropoda from the Upper Cretaceous deposits of Mongolia.

Accurate and Detailed Prehistoric Animal Models
Safari Ltd has built up a strong reputation for the production of accurate and detailed prehistoric animal models. The Citipati figure is just one of a series of feathered theropod models in the Wild Safari Prehistoric World range. Everything Dinosaur still has some models of the recently retired Papo red Styracosaurus dinosaur replica in stock. This popular Papo horned dinosaur figure has been out of production for some time, but team members at Everything Dinosaur were able to source a small number of these figures.

Papo “Les Dinosaures”
Papo’s range of dinosaur and prehistoric animal figures entitled “Les Dinosaures” has continued to expand since the inception of this series. There are around fifty figures in “Les Dinosaures” and although dinosaur models dominate, the series includes marine reptiles, prehistoric mammals, two pterosaurs (Pteranodon and Quetzalcoatlus) and even a replica of a caveman holding a club and a flint-tipped spear.
As the range has expanded, then inevitably some figures end up being retired and moving out of production. Everything Dinosaur is able to source, via its connections at Papo some of the more difficult to obtain figures and models, including the now retired Papo red Styracosaurus.

The Papo Red Styracosaurus Dinosaur Model
The replica is a representation of Styracosaurus albertensis, a ceratopsian that was formally named and scientifically described in 1913 (Lawrence Lambe).
A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“We know how disappointed collectors get when they are unable to complete their model collection as a figure has been retired. We do understand this and we work hard to ensure that figures that are unobtainable elsewhere are still available from our website. It’s all part of our customer service, we try to help where we can.”
The new for 2022 Wild Safari Prehistoric World Patagotitan model is in stock at Everything Dinosaur. This large replica of a super-sized titanosaur has arrived at Everything Dinosaur’s warehouse and team members are busy contacting all those customers who requested an alert when the dinosaur model was available.

Wild Safari Prehistoric World Patagotitan Model
The Wild Safari Prehistoric World Patagotitan model measures around 40 cm in length and that beautiful and carefully sculpted head is raised off the ground by about 10.5 cm. Although Safari Ltd do not provide a declared scale for this figure, team members estimate that the Patagotitan model is in approximately 1:100 scale.

Patagotitan Fact Sheet
Everything Dinosaur team members have researched and written a Patagotitan mayorum fact sheet. The fact sheet also contains a scale drawing providing an indication of the huge size of this massive dinosaur. Patagotitan mayorum can claim to be the biggest terrestrial animal known to science, based on substantially complete fossil remains. The first fossil evidence for Patagotitan emerged in 2008 and pictures of its fossils have been circulated widely. Patagotitan was formally named and described in 2017.

Models Available from Everything Dinosaur
The Patagotitan model joins over ninety prehistoric animal figures in the Wild Safari Prehistoric World range available from Everything Dinosaur. The range already contains a number of sauropod figures including Apatosaurus, Amargasaurus, Brachiosaurus, Malawisaurus and Camarasaurus.

Team members at Everything Dinosaur have been busy assessing an Atlasaurus dinosaur model at the request of a customer. The UK-based mail order company had been contacted by a potential customer in America who was looking to purchase an Eofauna Scientific Research Atlasaurus figure.
The customer was seeking assurance that the head of the model was painted accurately. We were happy to oblige and sent some images of the dinosaur model we had selected so that the customer could see the quality of the Eofauna Scientific research models that are currently stocked.

The Eofauna Scientific Research Atlasaurus Model
Introduced in 2019, the Eofauna Scientific Research Atlasaurus dinosaur model continues to be popular amongst dinosaur fans and model collectors. It was the first sauropod figure made by this company and it has received praise and positive feedback. However, our American contact wanted to be sure that they would be getting a model with an excellent paint scheme. Team members were happy to email over images of the Atlasaurus model that they had chosen.

Checking Prehistoric Animal Models for Customers
An Atlasaurus model was selected and team members carefully checked the painting of the head and body of the figure. The replica was checked and then once the images had been received by the American client, it was simply a case of waiting to hear back from the USA.
The customer approved our selection, placed an order on the Everything Dinosaur website and the Atlasaurus was on its way to the USA the next day.
Assessing an Atlasaurus
Whether it’s assessing an Atlasaurus or checking over a Camarasaurus we are quite happy to assist customers with their model selections.

Everything Dinosaur will be stocking the new for 2022 PNSO Deinocheirus model. A stunning replica of a bizarre theropod dinosaur. Jacques the PNSO Deinocheirus is already on its way to Everything Dinosaur and it is expected to arrive at the company’s UK warehouse in the next few weeks (November 2022).
The beautifully painted, feathered theropod – Jacques the Deinocheirus dinosaur model.
Jacques the PNSO Deinocheirus Model
The figure is based on the very latest scientific reconstruction of this giant ornithomimosaur which was named and described in 1970. The arms of this biped, at around 2.4 metres in length, are amongst the largest arms of any known member of the Theropoda. The PNSO replica has been given plenty of plumage on its forelimbs and a long tail with a tuft of feathers on the end.

They contain amazing detail and the tree stump featured on the bases provides extra support and stability for Rebor replicas. To read about these exciting new additions: Looking at “Winter Tears” and “Summer Kisses”.
Please note, the outer packaging for these figures has been damaged in transit to our warehouse. Whilst we have opened, inspected and checked all the display bases, unfortunately the outer packaging for the Rebor Non-scale Diorama bases is below the standard one would normally expect.
Rebor T. rex Models “Kiss” and “Tusk”
Also prominent in Everything Dinosaur’s customer newsletter are the two new Rebor Tyrannosaurus rex models “Kiss” and “Tusk”. The “Kiss” T. rex figure has been given lips, whilst “Tusk” reflects a more conventional view with T. rex being lipless and having an overbite.
Both newly introduced theropod replicas have proved to be extremely popular with model collectors.

Resolving Taxonomy and Size Issues
It is our intention to produce a scale drawing of this putative spinosaurid. This in itself is quite a challenge as the fossils ascribed to this theropod have had a long and complicated taxonomic history. In addition, the size of this Chinese member of the Spinosauridae remains unknown, such is the fragmentary nature of the fossil material. If Sinopliosaurus (S. fusuiensis) is a synonym for Siamosaurus, the first reported and formally scientifically described spinosaurid from Asia* then size estimates would range between five and in excess of nine metres in length.
PNSO are adding a second member of the Spinosauridae family to their mid-size model range. Joining Essien the Spinosaurus is Chongzuo the Sinopliosaurus. This figure is due to be in stock at Everything Dinosaur in the late autumn (2022). Team members are researching and writing a fact sheet for this theropod dinosaur.
Siamosaurus suteethorni was named and described in 1986 (Éric Buffetaut and Rucha Ingavat), the absence of more substantial and complete fossil material, especially skull material has made estimating the potential size of these Early Cretaceous theropod dinosaurs extremely difficult.
Sinopliosaurus Drawing
A spokesperson from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“We congratulate PNSO for adding a replica of such an enigmatic Chinese fossil specimen to their Age of Dinosaurs mid-size model range. Whilst we welcome the introduction of some of the less well-known theropods, the addition of the Sinopliosaurus has given us a headache when it comes to researching and producing the free fact sheet on this dinosaur. However, we are confident that we will be able to rise to the challenge and anyway, we could always consult our customers and get their input on this matter.”
The PNSO Chongzuo the Sinopliosaurus is expected in stock at Everything Dinosaur later in the autumn, perhaps early to mid-November (2022).
