The New for 2025 Mojo Fun Cryptoclidus Figure
The Mojo Fun Cryptoclidus model is now in stock at Everything Dinosaur. This plesiosaur replica is one of two new prehistoric animal models being introduced this year (2025) by Mojo Fun. It is a replica of a marine reptile that was first scientifically described back in 1871 (Professor J. Phillips). A Cryptoclidus model is perhaps, long overdue. After all, thanks to the many well-preserved specimens that have been found, this genus is featured in numerous museum exhibits all over the world.

The Mojo Fun Cryptoclidus Figure
This new Cryptoclidus model measures approximately twenty-two centimetres in length. The width across those broad front flippers is an impressive thirteen centimetres. This is an excellent Cryptoclidus (pronounced Krip-toe-kly-dus) figure. The design team have included a tail fin. It is likely that these marine reptiles had tail flukes. Furthermore, it reflects the design team’s willingness to review the fossil evidence.
The colour scheme is striking. The model has been painted a deep blue. The pale underside provides counter shading.
Mike from Everything Dinosaur commented:
“I remember seeing images of this marine reptile in children’s books about prehistoric animals. These illustrations might have been inspired by the remarkable aerial view of a pair of Cryptoclidus painted by the highly influential Czech artist Zdeněk Burian. Moreover, I welcome this new Cryptoclidus figure. It will highlight this plesiosaur taxon to a new generation of model collectors.”

“In addition, the new for 2025 Cryptoclidus figure will be supplied with a Cryptoclidus fact sheet.”
