Evolution Logo More Visible After Website Changes

We made the Everything Dinosaur Evolution logo in our website header more visible. We changed it from gold to white.  Both these colours are within the Everything Dinosaur Evolution brand identity guide.  However, a white logo on a dark green background is easier to see.  The gold logo in the header was not clear.  The contrast between its colour and the background was not big enough. The change makes the Evolution logo more visible.

Mike and Sue have changed the logo colour to improve site visibility and accessibility.

Making the Everything Dinosaur Evolution Logo More Visible

Replacing the gold logo with a white one improves accessibility.  Therefore, visitors with impaired vision can recognise it faster and navigate with confidence. High contrast helps everyone. Moreover, white on dark backgrounds reduces eye strain and confusion. Consequently, users locate key actions sooner and feel more comfortable and in control. Accessibility is not only about compliance. Importantly, it improves brand clarity and trust. Furthermore, clear icons shorten journeys and increase on-site engagement.

“It might only be a small step, but we want to make our site more accessible.  We recognise we have a long way to go, but we have made changes to improve the contrast between a logo and the background.  The Everything Dinosaur Evolution icon is more visible in the header section. Please review your own header if you have a website. If contrast is weak, brighten it. This will make a difference for those in the community who have impaired vision.”

Everything Dinosaur FAQ’s – Providing Helpful Information

On-line shoppers want rapid answers. Enquiries about inventory, questions about delivery and shipping and asking about restocking. In addition, we get asked lots of questions about dinosaur models. By updating our FAQ’s, we give visitors confidence. Customers can trust the information provided. This makes it easier to buy dinosaur models and prehistoric animal figures on-line.

FAQ’s is an acronym for Frequently Asked Questions.  Having an effective set of these questions also makes the company more efficient. Taking a Dinosaur to a World-class University Campus

At Everything Dinosaur, we try our best to support the wider community.  For example, we were invited to Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) to participate on a panel in support of the University’s bid to maintain their EQUIS accreditation.  EQUIS accreditation is a prestigious international quality benchmarking system for business schools.  It is a highly prized accolade for the business faculty at any university.  Having worked with students and participated in training courses, we wanted to provide our support in this accreditation process. In addition, we believe in giving back to the wider community and helping students and teaching staff where we can. Naturally, I brought a dinosaur model into the University.  It was the CollectA Furcatoceratops dinosaur model.

When explaining to other panel members about what we do it helps to provide tangible evidence of the quality of prehistoric animal figures.  Furthermore, it is a great ice breaker.  It seems that most people are interested in dinosaurs and want to learn more. EQUIS is a comprehensive quality review system for business schools and management institutions. Its rigorous peer-review process signals the overall quality of the institution.  The assessment process is challenging.  Mike outlined the involvement the University had in the development of the Everything Dinosaur Evolution brand.

The CollectA model helped to demonstrate the quality of figures that are available to model collectors.

One of the benefits of a taking a dinosaur to the University is that we get to meet and talk with so many talented and passionate academics and business leaders. We get to talk about dinosaurs too.

Manchester Metropolitan University will be informed of the decision in December (2025). We wish all those involved with the project success.

An Important Update in Regard to Parcels Sent to the USA

This is an important message for all customers ordering from Everything Dinosaur for delivery of parcels to the USA. As of 18:00 hours (BST), 13:00 hours EST, (Sunday 24th August 2025), Everything Dinosaur temporarily suspended shipments to the United States. With the removal of the de minimis for all parcels destined for the USA coming into force at midnight on August 28th, we are anticipating considerable confusion and delays within the American postal system.

In order to protect our customers, we reluctantly took the decision to suspend parcel shipments to America.  Deliveries to other countries are unaffected.

Finding a Solution for Parcels to the USA

However, we continue to work hard to find a solution.  It is our intention to ensure that the tariffs and duties being applied to parcels sent to the USA are made as transparent as possible for our American customers. Indeed, we will do our best to absorb some of the additional fees and charges that are going to result from the removal of de miminis. Furthermore, we have spent much of the last four weeks working in collaboration with couriers to find workable solutions.

Sadly, due to the removal of de minimis, prices for American customers are likely to increase.  However, no other countries will be affected.

“We are continuing to explore ways in which we can provide information on the tariffs due on parcels destined for the USA.  Sue and I apologise for the inconvenience this suspension has caused but we do want to avoid parcels getting held up in the U.S. customs network.  We are doing all we can to find a solution.”

Everything Dinosaur is aiming to reintroduce shipping to America in the near future, perhaps within the next few days.

Changes to the Everything Dinosaur Website

We are currently in the process of installing and testing new software on the Everything Dinosaur website.  Our aim is to provide comprehensive and easy to understand information about tariffs and duties for our American customers. Once this testing has been completed, we plan to permit sales to the USA once again. Sue and I apologise for this inconvenience, please be assured we are doing all we can to accommodate the new postal rules for parcels destined for the USA.

We note that many national postal companies and couriers have suspended operations to the USA, whilst they too are seeking solutions to accommodate the removal of de minimis. Parcels sent to other countries are unaffected.

Everything Dinosaur Stall DinoCon 2025 – Beautiful Prehistoric Animal Models Await

Everything Dinosaur are delighted to exhibit at this weekend’s DinoCon event.  We proudly associate ourselves with this amazing convention.  Indeed, we posed for a photograph with us behind the Everything Dinosaur stall DinoCon 2025. This inaugural convention brings palaeontology enthusiasts, dinosaur fans, artists, academics, and collectors together to celebrate prehistoric times.  Furthermore, it allows individuals to showcase their talents.

The Everything Dinosaur Stall DinoCon 2025

Thank you to all those model collectors who contacted us advising which figures to bring. Indeed, the feedback we received was instrumental in helping us decide which models to bring.

Our stall proved very popular across the weekend. Visitors were able to browse a wide range of prehistoric animal models and dinosaur figures.  Beasts of the Mesozoic, Papo and CollectA models were on display.  In addition, we brought some other brands such as PNSO too.

Attendees took the opportunity to chat with us about the latest models and forthcoming releases. We also enjoyed answering questions about dinosaurs and model design.

The Vendor’s Hall was full of energy and enthusiasm. Sue and I were proud to stand alongside talented palaeoartists, authors, and other vendors offering incredible merchandise.  The atmosphere captured the true spirit of DinoCon 2025 — a location where science, creativity, and community come together.

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our stall. The support and interest are greatly appreciated. Meeting fellow enthusiasts is always a highlight.  Moreover, we are part of an amazing community, and we left the event inspired by the passion of the DinoCon fanbase.

We are already looking forward to future conventions and hope to see even more familiar faces next time. DinoCon 2025 was a fantastic start, and Everything Dinosaur was proud to play a part.

Heart-warming Surprise: Thoughtful Gift from China Delights Everything Dinosaur

It is official — Everything Dinosaur has fans! Two, in fact, to help keep us cool if summer returns. Earlier this week, we received a mystery parcel from China. Inside were two beautiful, hand-crafted fans.  What a heart-warming and delightful surprise.  Such a thoughtful gift from China.

Unfortunately, there was no note, so we do not know who sent them. The sender could be a customer, a freight forwarder, a manufacturer, or even a member of our trademark team in China. Furthermore, We have many contacts in China, so we are at a loss to know exactly who to thank.

A Thoughtful Gift from China

Sue and I were delighted by this thoughtful gift from China. In a world full of challenges, it is a joy to receive such kindness. This wonderful surprise truly brightened our week.

We have always believed business is about people, not just products. We try to help others whenever we can. To receive a gift that reflects these values means a lot to us.

Sue commented:

“When the parcel arrived, we checked it over carefully.  However, we could not find any clues as to who had sent these lovely, hand-crafted fans. It was a lovely surprise!  Moreover, we have no idea who sent these fans.”
